Hello everybody! My name is Olive Artman and I will be doing the CANS takeover for the next week!
I am currently entering my junior year of nursing and I am so excited for clinicals!
At Carthage, I am the treasurer of CANS, the VP of nursing student council, and I am heavily involved as a member and team captain on our school’s mock trial team!
I love to travel and I’ve been to quite a few countries, including the Philippines, Korea, Japan, Belize and I plan to go on a healthcare J-term trip to India this upcoming January! I live in Cary, Illinois and since high school, I have worked as a CNA at a local nursing home! It’s the best job ever and one of the reasons I decided to become a nurse!
In my free time, I love to take walks, try new recipes, spend time with my family, and of course travel both in and outside of the United States!
This week, I decided to take a mini vacation with my parents up to Michigan, so I will be posting lots of pictures and videos! by @carthage_cans

Hi, everyone! My name is Jasmin Tapia and I will be running CANS for the week! I am excited to share my week as I attend the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Conference in Denver, CO & bring you all along!

Currently, I am a senior (WOW, I still can’t believe it!!) majoring in nursing (of course) and minoring in medical humanities. Some of my involvement on campus includes CANS, InterVarsity, and LUNA. LUNA is actually a new association that helps support Latinx nursing students at Carthage with the support of Prof. Triana, Prof, Benavidez, & Dr. Martinez, so feel free to support our IG @luna.carthagecollege 🌟 This summer, I was offered to work with Prof. Triana for SURE (Summer Undergraduate Research Experience), examining the key factors for retaining and progressing within healthcare education of Latinos which is near & dear to my heart as a first-generation student 🇲🇽😭🤍🌟

Also, I have worked as a float pool PCT for the past 3.5 years and I love it! I have worked in various med-surg specialty floors and also been cross-trained in a Level 1 ICU, ER, labor & delivery, and outpatient pain management.

In my free time, I enjoy getting or making a fun drink, reading books (especially on the Kindle), taking long walks, fishing, and hanging out with my loved ones! I also love the Lord, and it is my goal to be a light in this world which is why I have chosen nursing as my ministry 🌟 by @carthage_cans

Hi everyone!! My name is Addy Shaffer and I will be taking over the CANS instagram page this week! I am from Broomfield Colorado, a member of Carthage women’s swim and dive team, a member of stamped with love and CANS! I love shopping, working out, hiking, line dancing and scuba diving! This summer I nanny as well as caregivers for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s. This week I have two caregiving shifts, two nanny shifts, two nights of line dancing (possibly), and a flight to Long Island! I’m so happy to have y’all come along for this week! by @carthage_cans
