A huge apology to Tyler and Jackie for my super delayed post….2026 Outdoor NCAA Championship Recap:

We had a strong start to the weekend with discus being on day 1:

1) ❗️Tyler Rose is your national runner-up in the discus 🥈❗️ He opened up with a great non-reverse throw of 54.66 which ended up being his best throw of the day. After that he got a little excited and kept pushing for that big throw but can’t really be upset with the second best meet of his career being at the national championship.
2) Jackie Tuzil earns her first All-American honors with a 5th place finish from an absolutely clutch third round throw of 46.87m. I am incredibly proud of her for staying composed and confident going after one even after fouls in the first two rounds.
3) Day 2 was definitely not the best day for Tyler as he couldn’t square up the finish trying to compete in a highly competitive field, his best on the day ended up being 15.37.

I can’t thank these two enough along with @mpaynethrows for what they have done for our program during their four yeras. The standard they set for themselves and this group is something that has carried over to the incoming classes. They have moved the needle for what is possible and expected if you trust the process, build up those around you, and lock youself into the habits that lead to your goals. ❤️ by @carthagethrows

‼️Men’s CCIW Highlights Part 2‼️

Tyler Rose had himself one heck of a day 2, claiming 🥇🥇in the discus and shot-put. This along with placing 3rd in the hammer earned him CCIW Field Athlete of the meet honors.

🚨New Discus School Record🚨
Tyler’s second best throw of 55m would have won him the competition but he found an absolute 💣 of 59.44m on his third throw to break the school record. This throw is currently #1 in the NCAA and #4 all-time in D3 history. Carthage now has two men in the top 10 of all-time in the discus 🤯.

Earlier in the day Tyler set a PR in the shot put throwing 17.34m. 4 of his 6 throws were over his previous PR. This throw currently ranks #13 in the NCAA and moves him up to #2 on our All-Time list. by @carthagethrows
