on december 8, 2022 at 6:11 AM, i lost my biggest supporter, my #1 confidant & my first ever best friend due to stage four colon cancer. being first diagnosed in 2019, i saw her become the strongest woman ever. with undergoing every chemo session, it was almost as if she became invincible. earlier this year, a doctor informed us that it had came back. we both dealt silent battles cause we just knew you were going to persevere. through the chemo, weight loss, every tired feeling, i still saw her fighting day by day, week by week, month by month. even down to her last breath, she was still so strong. mommy, i love you so much. every tear that drops from my eyes represents the unexpressed love. no matter how many hugs, kisses & i love you’s we shared, it feels like 21 years was not enough time to spend time with you. anything i had a problem with, you were always there to call. anything i needed, you had me. anytime i would walk in from a bad day, you would sense it before i can tell you. any shoulder i needed to cry on, you would hold me. never in my life have i went to sleep hungry. never did i go ANYWHERE without you telling me to be safe & that you love me. you made it so clear to me that even in adulthood, you’re going to always protect me. you never missed an opportunity to tell me how proud you were of me. how do I continue? you made my life so much worth living knowing that you were right by my side through everything. i need you so bad right now. only thing getting me through is knowing you’re watching & guiding me. to the best woman to grace my life, i cannot wait until i see you again. everything you have taught me will never be forgotten. you’re engraved in my mind every second of the day. i cannot do anything without thinking about you. i will never understand why this happened to you. rest in eternal peace, you will forever be my everything. by @carxson
