🎶 Your Why (Epic Instrumental) by Fearless Motivation Instrumentals. 📸 April 19th 2020 was pivotal for me. I'd found this excellent stargazing spot in the country. I was going through this phase (which I would gladly re-enter) where I'd wake up at all kinds of hours to look at cool things in the sky. This morning in particular, the crescent moon was aligned with Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Something about that view & moment in time changed me profoundly. It's one of my favorite photographs I've ever taken. taken in Virginia by @cary.wade

When I bought my ticket to go see @superblue.art I had no idea what it actually was. What I thought was going to be an immersive experience turned out to be not only that, but my newest favorite museum as well. If you're ever in Miami, please take the time to go. You will not regret it. Superblue changed my life. I'm serious. 💙 thank you for your hospitality, thank you for allowing me to check James Turrell off of my bucket list finally, and thank you for teaching me about myself.

When I arrived, I asked Chris how long people typically took in the space. He told me "about ninety minutes." It took me over 3 hours. And I probably would've stayed longer if I could've.

I feel like if I had been alone or with ppl I really cared about, this would've been a spiritual experience. There was something truly remarkable about when the light would hit my forehead. It's difficult to explain and I only had minutes with the piece.

I didn't know the name of this piece until today.

When I first entered the exhibit I noticed an activity I had no interest or intention of participating in. Once I got there, however, I saw the spray cans. I cannot begin to quantify the number of spray paint cans I've used in my lifetime. It's staggeringly above average. I probably hadn't picked one up in years though. So the temptation got to me. But what to draw? I couldn't come up with anything. Not bad for a first try, don't you think?

As always, I have got to thank @superblue.art for such an amazing day. Their thoughtfulness and customer service will forever be something I remember and praise. I appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💙 taken in Superblue Miami by @cary.wade

Y'all, I didn't know how I felt about this one. Raves have spoiled me 🤭 I did have to spend some time with it. What was truly remarkable was the mist. I loved that experience.

✨️ Story time... 📖 I didn't know there was a James Turrell piece until I arrived @superblue.art ✨️🥹🤭 I started crying when I found out. I told Chris that I'd pay whatever I needed to see it. Well, word got around because in the middle of this exhibit Christian finds me to say, "there is only one more showing of the Turrell piece and I knew you wouldn't want to miss it." I was able to head over and experience Akhu.

If I had missed my opportunity to see one of my favorite artists of all time, I would have been inconsolable. I work in the hospitality industry. Christian's (and team) costumer service was exemplary that day. I left feeling so incredibly heard and seen by the staff at Superblue. Thank you for making my experience truly life changing. I still can't believe I've seen a Turrell now 😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏

ps - to put it into perspective, I've written a 40 page paper about this man before 😂🤓

pps - I've actually been rereading a book recently that I used as source material for that paper. I'd suggest it, seeing is forgetting the name of the thing one sees by Robert Irwin. Wild thing is, I was reading it before this trip ✨️🥹 by @cary.wade

Massive shoutout to the @superblue.art team in Miami, FL. I'm telling you now, I will not stop singing their praises. They made an Art/Arth Major's dream come true - honestly. And their customer service made my extraordinary experience, exemplary. I will never forget this day. I couldn't put into words how grateful I am for it.
