Every floral proposal I sent out used to turn into a negotiation.

The moment couples saw a pricing breakdown, they started treating it like a shopping list. What can we remove, what can we swap, can we lower it?

So I changed 3 things in my proposal:
1️⃣ I led with value + benefits
2️⃣ A custom proposal that sells the vision
3️⃣ I gave one grand total investment

I haven’t had a single client ask for a pricing breakdown in 4 years.

It wasn’t just about raising my prices.

It was about raising my brand clarity so clients saw the value before they ever asked for a quote.

Once that shifted, here’s what started happening:

1️⃣ Clear messaging

I stopped using vague words like “romantic blooms” and got crystal clear on who I serve, how I help, and what sets my work apart.

2️⃣ A strong client journey

From my IG to my website to my proposal, everything told the same story. No confusion. No second-guessing.

3️⃣ Content that creates connection

I stopped just posting pretty. I started posting with purpose and that’s what moved people to inquire (and say yes faster).

✨ Bigger bookings come from deeper clarity.
Not just prettier work.

📽️ I break down how I went from $1k to $10k+ floral contracts in my BRAND NEW training.

💬 Drop “10K" in the comments and I’ll send it straight to your DMs. taken in USA by @caryn_lim

Sometimes I ask God for answers.
But He rarely shouts.
He moves.
He removes.
He stills.
He redirects.

And when He wants me to pause, life starts speaking.
These are the signs I've been living:

1️⃣ The people around me kept saying the same thing.

Different conversations.
Same message.
Multiple brothers and sisters in Christ saying rest.
Stop pushing so hard.
When the same word keeps coming from different mouths God is trying to get through.

2️⃣ I said no to something I'd normally say yes to and felt complete peace.

No FOMO.
No second guessing.
Just quiet certainty that it wasn't for me right now.
That peace was God speaking louder than any opportunity ever could.

3️⃣ A new opportunity appeared and I didn't jump.

Normally I'd be the first one in.
This time something in me said wait.
That pause wasn't fear.
That was God protecting my next season.

4️⃣ The devotions hit different.

I open them thinking they have nothing to do with my season.
By the end I'm crying the hardest I've cried all week.
God speaks through the ordinary when I'm finally quiet enough to receive it.

5️⃣ Soul level exhaustion set in.

Not physical.
The exhaustion of sustaining something at a pace God never asked me to maintain.

6️⃣ I felt a quiet inner pull toward stillness.

Not laziness.
Not giving up.
A persistent nudge saying stop striving.
Be still. And know that I am God.

7️⃣ I started sharing what I was going through and others made me see what I couldn't see myself.

You think you know yourself until you start talking.
The people God placed around me held up a mirror and suddenly I could see what He had been trying to show me all along.

8️⃣ I'm in the devotions more than ever but the next step hasn't been revealed yet.

I'm seeking.
I'm reading.
I'm praying.
But God hasn't shown me what's next.
That's not silence.
That's preparation.

I don't know what the next step looks like yet.
But I'm learning to trust the pause.

Which of these signs are you experiencing right now?

DM me if I can pray for you. by @caryn_lim

Continuing from Part 1. If you missed it, go back to this morning's post and read that first.

20 years in the wedding industry. Here's what else nobody teaches you.

6️⃣ The version of success you see on other people's feeds is not the full picture.

7️⃣ You will outwork yourself into burnout before you realize strategy beats effort.

8️⃣ The right client will never make you feel like you have to justify your worth.

9️⃣ The couples who ghost after your proposal are telling you something about your brand that you need to hear.

🔟 The breakthrough you're waiting for is usually on the other side of the thing you've been avoiding.

If Part 1 and Part 2 resonated and you're ready to understand exactly why talented wedding pros stay stuck at budget clients even after years in the industry, comment "10K" and I'll send you my free training. by @caryn_lim

I've been in the wedding industry for 20 years.
And the things that actually matter in building a sustainable wedding business...

Nobody teaches them.

You find out the hard way.

If you're a wedding florist, wedding planner, or wedding pro who is working harder than ever and still not seeing the results you know you're capable of, this is for you.

1️⃣ Talent will get you hired once. Brand will get you hired again and again.

2️⃣ The couple who negotiates your price before signing will exhaust you after.

3️⃣ Posting more will not fix a brand that speaks to the wrong person.

4️⃣ A full weekend of weddings and still not being able to pay yourself is not a cash flow problem. It's a positioning problem.

5️⃣ A slow inquiry season is not a sign to lower your prices.

Part 2 coming next.

Save this if any of it hit.

I've been in the furnace.

And God has been showing me something uncomfortable in that heat.

I thought I was building for Him.

I told myself and everyone around me that this was all for His glory.

But when God started stripping things back, what He showed me was that I was oriented toward everything except Him.

The results I wanted.

The recognition I was chasing.

The version of success I had decided looked like obedience.

None of it was actually about Him.

It was about me dressed up in God's language.

The furnace has a way of making that impossible to ignore.

Because when everything gets hot enough and there's nothing left to perform for, you find out pretty quickly what you were actually building on.

God doesn't put us back in the furnace to destroy us.

He does it because He's not done shaping us yet.

And you can't be shaped into what He's calling you to be if you've already hardened into the wrong form.

I'm still in the fire.

But I'm starting to see what He's making.

If you're in the furnace too, DM me.
I'd love to pray for you. by @caryn_lim

Talking to “any couple getting married” is why you’re attracting budget clients.

But the truth is that high-paying clients are NOT looking for someone who can “just do flowers.”

✨ They’re looking for someone who gets them.
✨ Someone who speaks their language.
✨ Someone who feels like the right fit.

And if your brand isn’t saying that clearly...

You’re invisible to the very clients you want to serve.

Most wedding floral designers think they have a pricing problem.

But what they really have is a messaging problem.

💡 That’s why I created this 14-minute video lesson

And the fix is easier than you think.

Inside the lesson, I’ll show you the 3 steps:

1️⃣ How high-end clients actually think (hint: it’s not like budget ones)

2️⃣ What’s making your dream clients scroll past your brand without clicking

3️⃣ The exact brand experience that gets them to say: “You’re the one. I don’t need to look anywhere else.”

This isn’t about posting more.

It’s about making what you already have work harder for you.

💬 Drop “3STEPS” and I’ll send it straight to you.

Because once your brand finally speaks to the right people…

Everything gets easier.

Cheering you on!

Sometimes it’s not about doing more

It’s about cutting what’s draining your time, energy, and confidence.

Here were my biggest energy leaks (and what I did about them):

1️⃣ Saying yes to unaligned opportunities

Styled shoots that didn’t match my brand, inquiries I knew weren’t a fit… I thought I “had to.” Now I don’t.

2️⃣ Over-customizing every proposal

I used to build every quote from scratch. Now I have a strategic base that saves hours and still feels personal.

3️⃣ Trying to be “on” all the time

Burnout was creeping in because I thought I had to do it all. Now I let my brand and systems do the heavy lifting.

✨ Your dream clients don’t want perfection.

They want clarity, confidence, and presence and that starts with you 👉

I share how to be intentional in your business in order to attract your dream higher-paying clients

💬 Comment “INTENTIONAL” and I’ll DM you the free training. by @caryn_lim

1️⃣ Getting fully booked doesn't mean you're building the right thing.

2️⃣ The clients who drain you the most are the ones you said yes to out of fear.

3️⃣ Your wins won't feel like wins for long.

4️⃣ Your mind becomes your biggest asset and your biggest enemy.

5️⃣ The person you have to become is harder to build than the business itself.

6️⃣ Your prices tell people how to treat you before you ever get on a call.

7️⃣ Nobody prepares you for the mental weight of slow seasons.

8️⃣ The loneliness of building something nobody around you understands is real.

9️⃣ Clarity about who you're for is more valuable than any marketing strategy.

🔟 Rest is not a reward for finishing. It's part of the strategy. by @caryn_lim

I’ve always been good at taking breaks.

Trips.
Dinners.
Time with my son.
Spa..

The things that look like rest from the outside.

And they are restful.
I’m not going to pretend they’re not.

But I kept coming back from all of it still tired in a way I couldn’t explain.

Not physically exhausted.
Something deeper.

And I think I finally understand why.

I was pausing my schedule but I wasn’t surrendering my pace.

I was still striving in my head.
Still proving something.
Still moving through even the good moments with one eye on what needed to get done next.

That’s not the rest God calls us to.

“Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” ~Matthew 11:28

He’s not talking about a vacation.

He’s not talking about a slow morning or a bike ride with your kid.

He’s talking about the kind of rest that happens when you stop trying to earn your place.

Stop hustling for your worth.

Stop carrying what was never yours to carry in the first place.

That’s the rest I’m unlearning into.

Not doing less.

Being different while I do it.

I’m still figuring out what that looks like in my actual life as a woman building a business and raising a son and trying to do both with God at the center.

What does real rest look like for you? by @caryn_lim

The wedding pros working the hardest are not always the ones booking the best clients.

And it's not because they're not talented enough.

Not because they're not trying hard enough.

It's because they're operating on beliefs that were never true to begin with.

I believed all three of these myths for over a decade.

I thought if I just showed up everywhere, stayed consistent, worked harder and grew my following, the right clients would eventually find me.

So I kept hustling.
Kept saying yes.
Kept grinding through every wedding season wondering why nothing was shifting.

The burnout was real.

The results weren't.

What actually changed everything had nothing to do with working more.

It had everything to do with getting clear.
✨ Clear on who I was for.
✨ Clear on what made me different.
✨ Clear on the message my brand was actually sending to the couples I wanted to attract.

That clarity is what took me from exhausted and underbooked with budget clients to signing 10k+ wedding contracts without a massive following and without burning myself out to get there.

If you're a wedding floral designer or wedding pro who is tired of working hard and still not seeing the results you know you're capable of, the problem is probably not what you think it is.
