The time has come… I have gone to Defiance City Schools K-12, and I cannot begin to describe what a blessing this experience has been for me. From meeting new friends, teachers and teammates, I have taken part on unforgettable experiences that I truly hope to hold onto for the rest of my life. I have shared so many laughs, cries, and memories with all of my peers, and as much as I longed for high school to be done and over with, it truly pains me to see all of us pull in different directions as we embark on our individual journeys. I have grown up with these people, and I wish the best to (most) of them. I am also beyond grateful for my teachers that have taken the time to listen and create bonds with their students. I am going to miss all of the fun events, dances, assemblies, etc. that this school has provided for us. I could not have asked for a better experience in my life. 😮‍💨… and just like that, senior season has come to an end.

The past 4 years have been a hot mess of emotions, challenges, trials and tribulations. But I will always cherish every bit of it. I have found family through it all, and I have made the best memories with such amazing people. Every single ball thrown was a silent countdown to when it would end, and no matter how much I was over it, I don’t regret it. Without this sport, I wouldn’t have met the cool people from other schools and teams along the way. Bowling was definitely not one of my interests coming into high school, but thank god I picked up that ball. And even though we weren’t one of the most respected sports, we made do with our little team, so that all goes thanks to my coach, Brent, who has put up with my dramatic and stubborn self for all this time. No matter what, he has always staid a positive role in my life and never gave up on me or any of the girls. Sure, he teases me a lot, but I will ultimately miss that from him the most.
Thank you Defiance bowling, you were truly a wonderful experience and I am beyond grateful for everything that it has given me.🐾🎳💙
