Het is al jaren een probleem in de elektronische muziekindustrie: producers worden zwaar ondergewaardeerd én onderbetaald. Het is een pijnlijk groot contrast met de inkomsten van dj’s: een headliner van een festival kan makkelijk tienduizenden euro’s verdienen met één set, terwijl producers het met stuivers moeten doen. Het softwarebedrijf Aslice leek hier de oplossing voor te zijn, maar nu dit is opgedoekt zijn we weer terug bij af. ‘Er zit superveel geld in de muziek en ik denk dat we daar een stuk meer voor terug zouden mogen krijgen’, zegt JSPRV35. During Paradigm Festival, the Romney turns into a temple of techno.Opening the day are two of Groningen’s finest: Selene and Khas. Both deeply rooted in the city’s electronic music scene, they’ve each carved out their own distinctive sound while helping shape the local community. Together, they bring a powerful blend of hypnotic grooves, driving rhythms, and finely crafted techno. I entered the swamp on my latest appearance on @relate.radio for @_deets___ 's residency show Auditory Oasis! 🐸🗿I took the tempo down a notch and started with two quarters of ambient and slowly raised the bpm to a blistering 125 beats on the minute while taking downtempo electronic and deep techno into the bog with me.
