Happy Sunday!

Plants represent growth, vitality and the Wood element, helping to bring freshness, softness and life into a space.

The East area is especially connected with growth, family and wellbeing, making it a beautiful place for thriving greenery.

My free guide, Plants, Energy & Placement, is now available to download from the link in my bio.

A simple resource to help you choose plants with more intention, indoors and outdoors.

Hello! I’am Giorgia.

With a background in architecture and landscape, over a decade in real estate and refurbishment, I gradually realised that the spaces we live and work in have a far deeper impact on us than we often realise.

This led me to Feng Shui and to helping people create homes and workspaces that not only look beautiful, but genuinely support their wellbeing, values and lifestyle.

Through design, Feng Shui principles and personal experience in the field, this page aims to offer inspiration, practical tools and a deeper understanding of how our environments shape the way we feel and live.

One of the things that attracts me the most today is the importance of bridging subjects rather than separating them.

Our cultures made us think in opposites: logic or intuition, beauty or practicality, science or spirituality. We even ask each other: ‘are you a cat person or a dog person?’.

Perhaps wellbeing, peace and new discoveries exist in equilibrium, a state where we confidently move between different energies, not perfectly in balance (which is impossible to achieve and only causes anxiety!).

An open mind can see the potential in the opposites, (petting a cat as well as a dog) and uses them to great outcomes. Both as individuals and as species. (Getting too deep and broad here…)

To me, long story short, this is what Feng Shui represents: a conscious way of using our spaces. A way that takes into consideration both the physical and energetic world. A way designed to enhance our chances of a more aligned and fulfilling life.

Did you know that in the UK we spend roughly 18 hours a day indoors?

Light, layout, noise/clutter and furniture send signals to the brain, without us consciously noticing them.

The environment can help us pick up great habits, and when well thought, can save us TIME.

This is why I see the environment as one of the most underrated wellbeing tools. A few thoughtful changes will make a surprisingly big difference.

Is there a room in your home or workspace that you rarely use or never quite feel drawn to? Send me a photo and I’ll share one or two thoughts on what might be influencing that.

After all, we can only change ourselves and the environment around us.

I was first quite surprised to hear this principle in an interior design book, and then I couldn’t agree more after experimenting with it myself. A ceiling lamp in bedrooms not only is not really necessary, but it also creates a sense of subconscious threat for the person lying underneath. With an average bedroom of between 8 and 16 sqm, you most likely have the chandelier pointing at you while you sleep. If you really don’t want to give it up, go for a light one, perhaps made of paper or another soft material.

The welcoming and warm atmosphere of a living room increases immediately when we remove or simply switch off any spotlights and create different lighting stations instead. Using a combination of floor and table lamps at different heights creates a softer, warmer ambience and instantly increases the sense of relaxation and comfort. taken in London, United Kingdom by @casa_milocca

+ no1: Bed headboard away from the Yang energy of the window, distancing the ears from the street noise and fostering a sense of protection.
+ no2: Practical use of the window.
+ no3: Bed headboard supported by a solid wall.
+ no4: Better layout, resulting in more space.
+ no5: Bed in the Command Position (door in sight).
+ no6: Better aesthetic result.

To avoid distractions, and in line with the principles of Feng Shui for a more permanent dwelling, modern Feng Shui recognises the importance of keeping your car clean, clear of clutter and in good working order.

Some believe that choosing a car colour associated with the direction you travel most frequently can be beneficial. For example, if you mainly travel north, a silver, grey, or blue car is considered the most favourable.

A few practitioners also believe that driving a red car may encourage faster driving.

In Feng Shui, the Moon is associated with Yin energy, bringing a calm, reflective and soothing quality to a space. It can create a sense of stillness, encourage relaxation and support a more peaceful, introspective atmosphere. This moon by Katha Wood, for me, keeps the worries of daily life at bay, putting things into perspective. What a beautiful, iconic, wonder of the universe.
