This is me 20+ years ago when I was just starting my business.

*I had just taken what I thought was a sabbatical from my full time career as a trial lawyer to stay home with the kids. (Spoiler alert…I never went back to a full-time career as an attorney)

*We abruptly went from two incomes to one after having grown our family from 2 to 4 in two years. Yikes!

*I did not know that I was starting a business. I did not make a plan. I just started selling stuff on eBay from my own closet and the closets of my friends.

*I did not over analyze. I did not pay attention to any one else’s reselling businesses. I just sold stuff.

*This tiny business grew and it allowed me to be a stay-at-home mother while still adding income to our family.

*I think this was the greatest thing that I ever did as a mother. I was fulfilled because I was enjoying my business, contributing financially and was there for every single thing for my boys.

*This was fun but it was never easy. Financially, we would have been more “comfortable” and had more “stuff” if I would have gone back to the courtroom. Running my business while doing all of the mom things was often really difficult. There were definitely days, weeks and months that very little work got done.#familyfirst.

*After all of these years, I still love my business. This is because I have not burned out. The secret is that I only work part-time but make a full-time income. I’ve learned not to waste my time.

*I truly believe that sourcing well is the secret to the long-term success of my business. This is why I help other resellers work smarter. You don’t have to sell hundreds of items a week to make really good money.

Every year for many many years, I stock up on the tissue paper at Costco. It keeps going up in price, but it’s still a good deal. 400 big sheets. I loaded up because they usually run out and they don’t stock them again until next Christmas. They also had hulken bags I tried the hulken when they first came out and did not like it at all. Maybe they’ve improved them 🤷🏻‍♀️##costcofinds #resellingtips by @casachic_store

Less is more for many of us. A package pile isn’t necessarily a flex. Having 3000 items in your eBay store isn’t a goal for many of us. Working smarter not harder gives me work/life balance. by @casachic_store
