If I never see Frankfurt airport again, it will be too soon!! @lufthansa business seats were broken, the USB charge port at my seat was physically broken, the crew were wonderful but those 747-800s need more love or just retirement. For the cost of those tickets, everything should have been pristine and sprinkled in fairy dust!

Don't get me started on MIA, either.

Lots of Asian couples taking pictures around the piazza this trip. Beautiful couples! 💐💓

Reality of trying to get private photos in a public space.

Final breakfast of pistaccio and lampone (raspberry ) cornetti with a cappuccino. All of this, at "the bar", was under €11. Table service is dramatically higher.

Said cappuccino.

I was hoping it would work. 😢

Waiting in the customs line for the VAT stamps at 4:30am. I need to sleep for 2 days.

Penultimate night here in Florence. Stopped at one of our favorites for dinner. @labuchetta in Borgo Santa Croce. Those yellow tomatoes tasted like heaven!! We asked for more. 😊
I had chicken thighs because I am so full of bread, cheese, pasta, and beef. Brian had beef stew. Both very good. And of course, tableside affogato for Brian.
The gold hand? It's a major award! Must be from Italy. ;) Happy to have places where we are treated like old friends when we come back.
We look forward to our return. 🫂♥️

Part 1 - Talk about breathtaking. This place is HUGE and a testament to man's ego. The artistry is spectacular!! The 4 shots of the cupola show how intricate the work is, but as you widen out, those details get lost in all of the other billion details.It's truly a marvel and I am so glad that we got to see it this time. ♥️ taken in Medici Chapel by @casaderice

Lunchtime! Finally stopped into @schiacciateriadeneri for panini. What you see is one sandwich. She cut them in half. I ate half of a half and I am full. DELICIOUS!
So glad we went - now, it's time for a nap.😁

Before a light lunch at #ilcovodeibriganti , we ran into a cobbler who will be making a custom pair of shoes for Brian. They are BEAUTIFUL and the leather is so soft! He makes for men and women. Check out @domenico_festa_ if you are in #Arezzo.
Back to Piazza Grande for aperitivi and people watching.
