@cascade_innotech makes a really cool rod feeder for laser welding handpieces. Laser welding aluminum is a real challenge and this feeder lets you feed any rod alloy and most diameters. I had a hard time sourcing big rolls of the wire alloy that I wanted, and it didn't feed well- but rod was really available.

Additionally, with laser welding, the weld fillet size is largely determined by the wire diameter, so being able to use rod allows you to create larger fillets.

I'm very excited to be able to use this on the camper build. I'll be doing future videos on welding aluminum alloys 5052 and 6061 using the Laser Tug. by @cascade_innotech

With zero prior welding experience, Katie picked up LASER_TUG on an IPG 2000XR and was throwing down quality aluminum beads by her 5th attempt! Feeding 1/8” diameter 4043 filler results in a 0.15” leg fillet.
