Autumn has arrived. The fall morning air is crisp and the leaves are turning shades of gold, amber-orange, and scarlet. It’s the last major ride of the @cascadebicycle season, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! We present the 32nd annual Kitsap Color Classic, our season finale. Pedal along the gorgeous Kitsap Peninsula and through some of the best riding country in the state! Friendly communities, delicious bakeries, and terrific fall scenery make this a fun, annual must-do event.

This event is a fundraiser for Cascade Bicycle Club’s programming in advocacy, education, and community rides, such as sliding scale bike maintenance and riding classes and the Pedaling Relief Project.

This summer, we had the opportunity to cycle from Seattle to Portland with @cascadebicycle to help raise funds for orphans around the world, in partnership with @idea_northwest and other amazing businesses across the Seattle and Olympia areas like @sma5h.burgers @champabrand & @do_sage

Special shout-out to @qalbystudios for supporting the video project in collaboration with @chindackenese.m to bring the story to life. 🎥

Such a privilege to be able to work on projects that are close to our hearts like this one. I hope to have many more opportunities to support a good cause while riding with my brothas. Please consider sharing this video or donating through the link if you can. Every bit counts 🙏🏽

Day 2 of Lake Chelan Tour presented by BMC is also known for the climb up McNeil Canyon with breathtaking views!

After our morning briefing in Don Morse Park, we rolled out on US-97A and headed north along apple orchards on the Great Terrace. Riders who chose the optional out-and-back climb along Antoine Creek got their hearts pumping! We descended quickly to the lower elevation of the Columbia River and travelled south on US-97, where we enjoyed a slight downhill slope.

The pie stop 🥧 at Lone Pine Bakery was as delicious as ever! This stop is a delightful oasis with the largest koi fish and monstera plants you’ll ever see. Riders had a choice between two routes, but there was no getting around having to climb out of the river gorge. It was well worth the effort!

We finished the day with a social hour at beautiful @succession_wines co-hosted by @wawinefoundation 🍷

Day 1 of Lake Chelan Tour presented by BMC brought a challenging but scenic ride on the Manson Loop! We rode through vineyards and orchards on the north side of Lake Chelan above the town of Manson. Route options ranged from 37 to 42 miles. For riders interested in more climbing, there were two optional out-and-back climbs to test their stamina. 🙌

The morning began with an easy but steady climb from the lake. Our day was full of shifting views of the lake, observing wildlife around a series of small lakes, and the scent of ripe apples in the orchards. 🍏

After lunch at @rootwoodcider we rolled through the small town of Manson and followed the local highway along the lake back to the start line.

We’re enjoying good food and relaxation this evening so we can be ready for McNeil Canyon tomorrow!

The inaugural Lake Union Family Ride on Sunday (Sept. 13) was a soggy—and sunny—success. On this last day of summer we’re celebrating all the fun and good times we had with the families and friends who joined us. ☀️

The mostly flat, seven-mile route started and ended in Gas Works Park, following the Cheshiahud Lake Union route named for the last chief of the Duwamish tribe on Lake Union.

Designed to be easy for people of all ages, the ride included snack stops, face painting, miniature wooden boat crafting, and even more snacks. While early morning rain dampened the start, the soggy weather gave parents and kids an opportunity to bust out their colorful rain boots and gear in advance of November’s Ride in the Rain Month festivities. 💚

The sun burst through and skies cleared by noon, allowing people to go slowly and enjoy the rest stop at MOHAI in South Lake Union, where kids colored miniature wooden boats and guzzled chocolate milk.

GOODBYE SUMMER!!! Last week Seattle and Tacoma joined forces on top of a mountain for our annual Iron Horse trail ride. It is a great introduction to gravel riding— starting at the Snoqualmie Tunnel and ending 20 miles downhill at Rattlesnake Lake with a bittersweet party to wish our graduating seniors well as they ride off to new adventures as adults.

Thank you so much to @cascadebicycle donors and partners for their support so we can do all the fun things even when school isn't in session!!!; 15. Students and adults posed with their bikes in front of a yawning void AKA The Snoqualmie tunnel by @cascadebicycle
