This past week has been one of the hardest weeks of my life as we laid my dad to rest. 💔
It’s hard to put into words what someone means to you until they’re gone. My dad had the biggest, cheesiest smile that could light up any room, and he never missed an opportunity to tell one of his famous dad jokes. Those are the moments I’ll miss forever.

More than anything, my dad loved. He loved his family with his whole heart, loved making people laugh, loved being there for the people he cared about, and never hesitated to lend a hand or share a smile. His love was constant, genuine, and something I’ll carry with me every day.

As difficult as this week has been, I’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible love and support that has surrounded my family and me. Every prayer, message, hug, meal, phone call, and kind gesture has reminded us that we’re not carrying this grief alone. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked in, shared memories, and kept us in your thoughts. Your kindness has meant more than words can express.

Dad, thank you for the laughter, the love, the lessons, and the memories that I’ll treasure forever. I hope you’re at peace, smiling that big cheesy smile, and keeping everyone laughing with your dad jokes.

After 8 unforgettable years, it’s time for me to officially “retire” from coaching volleyball.
This past week at AAU Nationals marked the end of our season, and something even bigger for me. It was the last tournament for my team, and the very last tournament I’ll ever coach. It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me.

When I joined @fusion_vbc eight years ago, I never could have imagined the impact it would have on my life. To the #FusionFamily, thank you for welcoming me with open arms and making me feel like I truly belonged from day one. The friendships, memories, and experiences I’ve gained will stay with me forever.

A very special thank you to the Shultz family for treating me like one of your own. Your kindness, support, and friendship have meant more than you’ll ever know.

@shultztj , thank you for eight incredible years of coaching together. I’ve learned so much from you, not just about volleyball, but about leadership, passion, and what it means to invest in young athletes. It’s been an honor to coach alongside you, and I’m grateful for everything you’ve taught me.

To every player I’ve had the privilege of coaching: thank you for trusting me, challenging me, making me laugh, and reminding me why I fell in love with this sport. Watching you grow as athletes and as people has been the greatest reward.

There were countless practices, road trips, tournaments, victories, tough losses, and moments that tested us, but every single one helped shape this incredible chapter of my life.

While this chapter is coming to an end, the memories and relationships will last a lifetime. I’ll always be cheering for Fusion, for the athletes, and for everyone who makes this club so special.

Thank you, Fusion Volleyball Club, for eight years I’ll never forget. Walking away is bittersweet, but my heart is full of gratitude for everyone who made this journey so meaningful.
