It’s been a long time coming…

A huge thank you to ESRA and everyone on the team who made this year’s IREC possible. It was an incredible experience filled with unforgettable memories, countless hours of hard work, and the opportunity to interact with so many talented teams from around the world.

Our rocket, Aurora, had a nominal launch and, according to live telemetry from out flight computer Sirin, reached an apogee of over 26,000 feet. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm during our recovery window, combined with GPS tracking issues, prevented us from finding our rocket. While it’s difficult to end the competition without bringing Aurora home, we remain hopeful that she may one day be returned to us by the property owners.

We’re incredibly proud of what our team accomplished this year. Sleepless nights in the bay, seemingly endless sanding, 6+ hour long design reviews all resulted in a meaningful and fulfilling experience. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way! We can’t wait to build on this year’s success and come back even stronger next year. taken in Pecos, Texas by @caserocketteam

A huge thank you to the NASA Glenn Research Center for hosting us yesterday. It was an amazing experience for us to talk to technical leaders in the field and to see facilities that get used to tackle some of the hardest problems in the world. It was also awesome to see how some of the concepts we are currently learning about get used in real-world innovation. Thank you @nasaglenn! 🚀 by @caserocketteam

We are proud to share a major milestone for the Case Rocket Team: last Saturday, members of our Solid Propulsion project mixed and cast solid rocket propellant for the first time! After spending all of last semester on design, analysis, and simulations, CRT has taken the first tangible step towards a Student Researched and Developed motor flying on our competition rocket in the coming years. We would like to thank everyone whose support made this possible! Next up: manufacturing our motor hardware for a static fire later this semester! by @caserocketteam

Meet the Case Rocket Team.

A design team that is dedicated to improving our skills, abilities, and processes to make better rockets! Through any obstacle, we learn, adapt, and overcome.

The team is comprised of ~50 undergraduate students across many different disciplines of engineering. There are various different project teams that work in harmony to research and create a rocket for the International Rocket Engineering Competition that takes place over the summer.

Giving Tuesday is next Tuesday (December 2nd)! This is an extremely important event that helps fund all of the amazing projects that we do over the course of the year. If you would like to see more about all of the incredible projects we do, there is a pamphlet at the link in our bio. As an added incentive, we have an option to have your name somewhere on our rocket, make sure to read about our projects if you would like your name somewhere. Thank you so much to all of our amazing donors, we appreciate each and every donation as we could not exist as a club without you. by @caserocketteam

Over this past weekend we were able to do our first launch of the year! Our L1 program is a super fun opportunity for new members to build their own personal rockets. The process is a very hands on introduction into how a rocket works which provides a good transition into working on our competition rocket. We are super proud of all the new rocketeers that earned their L1 certificate and are super excited for our next launch on November 22! by @caserocketteam
