The Aspen One is here!

Everything you loved about the original Aspen combined with a boost. The Aspen One launches today with the features you’ve been asking for.

Order Toggle
An order toggle switch changes which one hits first in the signal chain. Boost into drive and drive into boost sound completely different from each other, and you can change the order with the flip of a switch.

Remote Control
If you’re using a pedalboard switcher that has TRS relay switching (like the Mastermind PBC/6X’s FN SW), you can remotely flip SW1 on the Aspen side or activate the boost directly into your presets. We’ve been using this a ton on our boards and it’s super nice to change drive type from within your presets. If you don’t have a switcher, you can use a simple remote switch instead.

Improved Fuzz Stability
The fuzz mode in the original Aspen is LOUD and WILD, but you let us know it’s maybe a little too wild to be useful in everyone’s rig. We spent a lot of time dialing it in and it’s right in the sweet spot.

Germanium or Silicon Clipping Options
There’s been a lot of interest in the Germanium Aspen, but with the amount of labor it takes to make, we’ve only made a few. With the new Aspen One, we designed a hybrid board that will let us build the Germanium version at scale without giving up what makes it sound the way it does. The vintage diodes are still hand-soldered in. But everything else comes off the SMD line, which means we can actually build them quickly. And if you prefer the Silicon sound of the original Aspen, we’ll be building those too.

We do have limited stock of the Vintage Germanium Diodes, so we’ll sell those until we run out. by @casestudyeffects

The aesthetics of the Germanium Aspen caught my eye first from @casestudyeffects but man this is a killer drive / dist / fuzz pedal. It really feels like three different pedals to me and I like them all equally! Big fan. by @casestudyeffects

4 KILLER tones that will leave you gaspin’ for the Aspen

The @casestudyeffects is an incredibly versatile pedal, with 4 voices (crunch, od, distortion and fuzz), it lets you set your tone from a crunchy boost all the way up to a chaotic and out of this world fuzz.

The control you have on each of the voices is unreal, with a highly intuitive tone control and a bass control that lets you set the low end. I’ve actually found it really hard to find a sound that I don’t like out of it so far!

With every rig I’ve built, I’ve chased simplicity. This time, I chose what inspires me.

It’s been three years since I last posted a rig. During that time, I bounced between modelers, always chasing minimalist setups. This time, I decided to embrace a bit more complexity.

The RJM MultiBox has honestly been one of the coolest discoveries of this build. Being able to connect the PBC6 and the entire Meris trio to my computer with a single USB cable while keeping the MIDI chain untouched is just awesome. (Massive shoutout to @thetoneshepherd , whose rig inspired a lot of this build.)

The Aspen Overdrive, CD65, Daily Driver, Meris trio, and TONEX have all lived up to the hype. As someone who’s obsessed with ambient tones, this board feels like an endless source of textures, soundscapes, and cinematic drones.

Big shoutout to Goodwood Audio for the shelf, it’s absolutely built to last.
