Music Across the Pond 2026 was good for the soul and voice. Being fortunate enough to work music daily in the history of Oxford and the beauty of the English countryside for two weeks was a blast. Getting to go back after two years was surreal and made it all the better. Huge thank you to Dr. David Sadlier and Dr. Gregory Martin for their fantastic teaching alongside the rest of the program for being filled with such dedicated, hilarious, and great people. Going straight from graduating college to Hungary and Austria was nonstop, but unforgettable. 3 days at the Kodaly institute taking lessons, classes, and getting to see the Kodaly method in practice from the elementary to highschool level was mind blowing. Following that with 6 days of all day walking tours, world class concerts, and trying to fit in every single place related to these composers lives really was a musical pilgrimage. I’m so grateful for this experience and absolutely intend on going back! by @casey____adams

“You know man, have you ever thought about majoring in music?” - my dad 2019

4 Years of 18+ credits a semester, multiple hours a day of practicing, endlessly writing my lyrics and translations down for memory, countless early morning drives to schools, and 4 months of student teaching has been an enormous challenge, but here we are. During this time, I refined my craft as a musician and grew my love for education. I learned the value of patience and going slowly. I made many mistakes and took many risks. I became a teacher. That being said, the most important thing I’ve learned is that “intelligence will get you noticed, but integrity will make you unforgettable.” I wouldn’t be here without the amazing faculty and community around me. My final performance at the University of Indianapolis. Mvmt. II from Beethoven’s Pathetique sonata. This piece has always been a favorite of mine and it’s a joy to finally play it. As Billy joy said “this night can last forever” taken in University of Indianapolis by @casey____adams

“Kinderszenen” (Scenes From Childhood) by Robert Schumann has been an obsession of mine for the better part of a year. In this video from the collaborative piano concert, I play 1, 2, 4-8, 12, and 13 to shorten the work for time. Anyone close to me could easily complain to you about the amount of time I’ve spent learning this entire cycle. Not only was it my first step into being a pianist, but it’s deeply meaningful to me. The nostalgic childlike simplicity Schumann paints brings so much joy, angst, and sorrow. When talking about the ending of the cycle, pianist Alfred Cortot says it best. “You are left simply in the presence of a dream that haunts you still”.

I hope you enjoy taken in University of Indianapolis by @casey____adams

Here is “Scenes from a Vanishing Afternoon” by me. Huge thank you to @gabe.harlan for his skilled playing on the composers forum. The cycle paints the story of a warm spring day, with each piece showing a specific moment. It starts with “Azure Cloudscapes,” a sky with nothing but blue. The second song in the cycle is “Down the Hillside.” Whether it’s an apple that fell off a tree and then rolled down the hill, or a few kids playing games, this song is meant to continue that easy feeling of a spring day. Following this is “The Primrose,” which tells the story of a flower, slowly and gently blooming. Finally, to end the cycle is “Lost Time.” The perfect day is over, whether or not we want it to be, and all that can be thought of is what we didn’t get to do.

Hope you enjoy! taken in Ruth Lilly Performance Hall by @casey____adams

One of my favorite instruments I play… The Choir. Thought I’d share this song I conducted on UIndy’s Fall Concert. This is “Our Time” from Merrily We Roll Along by Stephen Sondheim. Huge thank you to Professor Caio Lopes for the opportunity and mentorship. taken in Ruth Lilly Performance Hall by @casey____adams

Some highlights from the past semester. It’s been nonstop work and performances… a musical, collaborative piano, choir concerts, show choir band, student recitals, and the list goes on. “Say yes and figure it out later” has been this semesters motto, but you don’t know if you can do it until you either did it or failed. taken in University of Indianapolis by @casey____adams

Maybe the real Greg the Comet was the friends we made along the way.

Getting to be in a show written and directed by @elizabeth.a.enderle was truly such a great and special experience. So much work went into this show and it was such a blast to get to act again.

Special thanks to everyone who came out or supported “The Disaster Pact”!
