WILL IT ALL WORK OUT?? Official Music Video - Meraki Alchemy OUT NOW ON YOUTUBE AND APPLE MUSIC - Link in Bio SHOT AND DIRECTED BY VERSA FILMS @versafilms @dylanhryciuk I wrote this song last spring before graduating highschool alongside @beezneezrecording who helped it come to life. I wrote it through the eyes of a 17 year old with no clue what the future would hold. I want this piece to represent how everybody faces their own internal challenges, and we all have moments where we wonder if it will all work out. Talk to someone, you’re never alone. VersaFilms and I have known each other for a few years since I acted in one of his music videos for Halocene, and now I’m beyond thrilled to have him direct my own! Dylan searched for the perfect spot to shoot this video, and Maggie helped us strike gold with Yorkton high school. This school felt so nostalgic, like something out of a TV series in the 80’s. Casey made the great prop books, and Ryan helped us get the perfect lighting. Dylan delivered incredible visuals as usual. Thanks to Dylan, Simon, Maggie, Ryan, Casey, and most importantly my mom for making this dream become a reality. by @caseyatthecinema
🌧️ DARK CLOUDS 🌧️ What a way to start 2026. Had an absolute blast bringing together this weird, dark comedy nightmare together for my Canadian friends in @callingallcaptains to celebrate the launch of their new EP “The Things That I’ve Lost.” I know these boys are gonna pop off at any moment now, and being a part of anything they do is really special to me. We had a different music video completely prepped and ready to shoot and mysterious forces kept us from bringing that to life, which resulted us in some quick brainstorm sessions and a super spontaneous idea. I think I really needed that to break out of the mold of my own work. Sometimes the best thing to do is just to see how far you can run with a small idea and it resulted in the best time! It also gave way to my favourite prop gag moment in @versafilms history. Huge thanks to the team for once again bringing bold ideas to life in new ways. In May of last year, I saw this teaser trailer and set out to Saskatoon with Victoria Pilot specifically to be sat in a packed theatre for its premiere. This short had such a deeply profound impact on me, I got to look up at a screen and see little teenage Casey staring back at me (didn’t hurt that the lead character’s name is Casey too 😂) From that screening, I’ve made incredible friends in Dylan and Taegs, two of my all-time favourite people working in film. I got to create my favourite project with Calling All Captains, and butchered my car doing a fun-as-hell road trip for another shoot all the way out in Yorkton. Our Last Day As Kids finally premieres online on October 28th, and I hope you all check it out. This film means the world to me, and I didn’t even work on it. So proud of you, and love you to the ends of the earth @dylanhryciuk @taeggymay @jeremyratzlaff @versafilms @ourlastdayaskids by @caseyatthecinema
Halloween 2025 Thanks to the @indiefilmthrowdown for giving us a real good reason to go hard. If I wasn’t running on two hours of sleep, my big acceptance speech would have gone a little like this: “I’d like to thank Joce and Dallas for putting this all together and giving us a place to showcase our local talent. I’d mostly like to thank the Kalmer family for taking my little life and making it extraordinary. Thanks to Kelsi for being the sexiest little road I’ve ever driven down, and Kari for being the absolute hottest animal I’ve ever had the pleasure of running into. This is really the best time to be me. I’m consistently surrounded by the absolute best people on the planet and I’m so grateful for it.” by @caseyatthecinema
2025 @spirithalloween day! Better late than never. by @caseyatthecinema
This video was years in the making. I discovered @callingallcaptains a few years back and knew I wanted to direct a video for them someday and things finally aligned this summer. When they shared “A New Type of Grey” with me, I had an endless slew of ideas, and one happened to be about a teen continuously displaced by their family and how suffocating that could be with a need to escape “their grey.” After I pitched that concept, Luc told me about a concept he’s been trying to get off the ground for years, capturing the realities of the foster care system, and it was then when our two ideas merged perfectly for this song. This story was incredibly important for us to get right, and it meant a lot to be trusted in creating something that was so important to Luc. This is also my first official pop punk video, and I wanted to put my everything into it. To get an ambitious concept like this together on a frugal budget, it felt necessary to step into 2019 Versa, with a tight knit crew, a band willing to put in the work, and just putting in the hours to get this done right despite the obstacles that were in front of us. Connor came in clutch and offered his home to be transformed into multiple sets, but most importantly completely flipped his garage upside down and turned it into our bedroom set that both the band perform in, and our main character lives in. A video like this doesn’t exist without a whole team believing in the mission, and I am so grateful to everyone who chose to be a part of this project.   STARRING: Kisay Morin-Knight CREW: Production Company - @versafilms Director / DoP / Editor - @dylanhryciuk Producer / Art Director - @caseyatthecinema Gaffer / 1st AC - @gradientvisuals HMU - @palespiritarts & Jasmine Auger Stills Photographer - @kristinbreit.stills Production Assistant: @enzyliz by @caseyatthecinema
