For many seniors, the greatest gift we can give is our time.

Today, @ahcaflorida Secretary Shevaun Harris, Madison and I announced a new initiative connecting churches with nursing homes and assisted living communities across Florida — creating opportunities to spend time with seniors, to hear their lifetime of experiences, and to remind them that people genuinely care about their well-being.

As part of our “Healthy Florida First” initiative, today @healthy_fla announced evidence of elevated levels of arsenic in popular candies.

These levels are problematic, especially for children when examining consumption levels over the course of a year.

Florida is working to proactively test the food supply to help raise awareness of potentially harmful chemicals in food.

Proud to flip the switch with @flgovrondesantis at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville to launch the ONLY carbon ion therapy program in the Western Hemisphere. This innovative cancer therapy was made possible, in part, through funding from the Casey DeSantis Cancer Research Program.
