24 to 37.
After 13 years on these hallowed grounds, I’m saying farewell to a place that taught me so much, not just about music, but about life. It’s kind of surreal to be ending this chapter.

From 24 to 37, a lot has happened, and a lot has changed.
I’ll miss the melody of Lower Broad and the sweat of a four hour barn burner.
I’ll def miss my Broadway BFFs, my musical comrades, it’s been an honor y’all.

This isn’t a sad song. I’ve got a lot of stories to share , some about Nashville, and a lot about my family and my favorite songwriter… a guy I called Dad. We actually got to spend a little time out here in Nashville together.

Here lately the songs and memories have been showing up...seems like the perfect time to start recording the next album and finally tell that story.

I always knew music would be the only proper way to say the goodbye I never got.

Studio time coming soon y’all.

Gotta go cook dinner, play this show, and finish this album.

Hope to talk to you all very soon.

I know it's been a little quiet over this way.

It's been well over a year since my departure from the town that gave me so much. This past year has given me a chance to reflect on the time I spent there and the music that was made, as well as figuring out what i'd like to make going forward.

Although I have a few regrets here and there, I don't regret taking the chances that gave me opportunities to climb the mountain. "Bend, don't break" was my mantra in the Nashville game.

I can also say that, after some time, that same mentality pushed me away from what I always felt was my true calling whenever I picked up a guitar and wrote a song, pure 100% unfiltered honesty.

The same honesty that compelled me, as a young kid, to put words on paper without thinking about structure, formulas, or writing the next hit. Those of you who have supported me over the years deserve nothing less.

Don't think I won't release another good timin' song. But going forward, my music will reflect more of the battles we all face every day - stories about family, faith, loss, and the fight for our mental health.

These new songs are finished. I wrote them as battle cries. A way to wrestle with the darkness that sits outside the door, the devil on my shoulder, and the one patiently waiting in the rafters.

They aren't just reflections of my own struggles. I think the world is hurting, and so are its people. My hope is that you'll find a little bit of yourself somewhere in these songs.

I hope this music inspires more of us to open up, to stop hiding the darkest and most vulnerable parts of ourselves, and to realize that's exactly what makes us part of the same fight.

This album is still a little ways down the road. I've got to figure out how to get these songs into the studio first.

But yeah...

100% honesty and flow.

That's really how it all started.

And I think that's how I'd like it to end.

I hope you're taking care of yourself out there.

Happy Fathers Day Dad ❤️ I’m going to keep sharing this for you. It’s crazy how a song can hang around you your whole life and then all of the sudden it catches up to you down the road and says “remember me, now we understand each other” ..this song is one of those. I hope all of the fathers out there have a great day. Keep on protecting, providing, and inspiring.. our kids need us now more than ever. That’s a wrap!

Absolutely unreal feeling seeing those doors open for the first time and kicking into “Much Too Young” on the opening day of @friendsbarnash

The crowd was on fire, everyone was amazing. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this very special day for me. To the staff and bartenders who treated us like gold. Thank you ❤️🙏🏻 something special is happening on Broadway. I would tell you more but you just had to be there!
