An unexpected change became a new detail to love at our #SandboxProject

After the water damage, the guest shower floor needed replacing, but the original tumbled EVR had been discontinued. Our solution: pair what remained with tumbled Carrara to create this checkerboard pattern.

A little creative problem-solving, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Back at our #SandboxProject for install number two…

After last fall’s install, water damage over the winter meant a few unexpected repairs. Along the way, we took the opportunity to freshen up the exterior paint and work on the sunroof.

This week, we’re putting everything back in place and getting ready to welcome the family home. Follow along for a little behind the scenes.

Finding the right blues for our #LaMerProject

On our palette: @farrowandball Parma Gray, Light Blue, and Skylight, each bringing its own subtle shift in tone.

So far, we’ve selected Skylight No. 205 for the ceilings in the kitchen and dining room. The living room is still TBD, and we’re giving it time. Paint can look entirely different on raw wood versus primer, from one room to another, and as the natural light changes throughout the day. Sometimes the best way to choose is to slow down and watch.

I am so excited to be working on a new very special project in Belvedere, California. A home with so much charm. Sited on a property with plentiful outdoor space. When each room has access to the exterior, magic is bound to unfold!

I let Fritz play hookie = ideal travel partner!

Friday Favorite: a luggage upgrade.

After my last trip, I realized it was time for something new. Clearly, the algorithm agreed because @roamluggage found its way into my feed, and I have to say, I’m impressed.

Broke in the expandable carry-on this week on a work trip up to SF. 10/10 recommend!

As the days grow shorter, we find ourselves drawn to softer colors, layered fabrics, and rooms that invite everyone to stay a little longer.

The living room at our #AlmaRealProject has us looking forward to slow evenings, good conversation, and a house full of family as we transition into the ‘ber’ months.
