With a crazy summer coming to a close, I wanted to share some 🍄 smol 🍄 practices that I’ve been keen to incorporate more of in my life.

Craft dates with friends has been such a comfort to me over the past month. We made sure to not be specific in the crafting and instead focus on individually sitting together to let our own creativity flow. ✨

*going on a stupid walk for my stupid mental health*

BUT FR taking the time to break out of the schedule and walk/sit in green spaces is a 10/10 experience. Grab a buddy for go solo

TAKE YOUR FUR BABY AND GET THE FUCK OUTTA THE CITY!!!

No activity hangs are some of the best hangs I’ve ever had. As much as I love a good games night, sometimes all I want is vibes and no plan.

I travelled A LOT this summer. But one thing I’ll never tire of is visiting a museum even if ive been to it before… Especially with no other major plans in the day.

Take the L and don’t make plans on Friday night… perhaps watch your favorite anime for the 7th time. Shout out to @saintlo_hostels in Ottawa! taken in 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙤𝙙. by @caseymarieecker

Don’t often share my breakdowns but sometimes you gotta switch it up! Since I’ve turned 30, I’ve had to come to terms with my age range shifting.

HOWEVER I’M JUST A BABY FACED BOI AND IT’S ALL SUBJECTIVE. One casting director might have me in for a senior in high school and another might have me in for someone my own age lol.

Until I do play a 30 year old, childless but married actor… I’ll be here. Attempting to care less about what casting wants and just showing them what I’ve got! 💥 taken in Montreal, Quebec by @caseymarieecker

Is it lame to say it’s time to wake up Billie Joe Armstrong? Ya know bc September has ended? Kay I’ll see myself out…

September memories in no particular order:

@dubzdirects wedding 🥹
Outdoor and studio kittens
@gabenlez @samisnottheman being “whores”
Cursed line readings and tarot cards
Dramatic deaths at the @operademontreal
“Stupid Fucking Bird” monologue being a little too accurate to my mental state
@mbamtl with Bébés
Finding out the residents are IN FACT evil

This summer, I directed my first film. It was messy, it was bloody, it was inspiring. Grateful does not begin to describe how I feel to @gabbythelady for allowing me to take her writing from page to screen.

This post is a long time coming, and I can’t believe Instagram accidentally posted this sans caption... Really rude of you, Meta. But a caption on a social media platform can’t express how much fun I had bringing this beautiful story of friendship and survival to life.

To every single member of this team, this film would not have been possible without you. Thank you for allowing me to be green and support me as a young filmmaker. Y’all are freaks and I love you. 💕 by @caseymarieecker

Filmmaker baddies. Let’s connect! 💌
I wanna hear your story. What inspires you to keep going when you feel like you’re facing a brick wall?

For me, it’s the support I get from my community. I want to extend that support for the folks who feel like they need a little extra love. Because we’ve all felt like quitting… but it’s what you do after experiencing that feeling. That’s what can change everything. ✨ taken in Montreal, Quebec by @caseymarieecker
