One of the greatest burdens a Christian mom can carry is believing that her children’s faith ultimately depends on her.

It doesn’t.

Yes, God has given us an incredible responsibility.

We’re called to teach His Word.
To model repentance.
To pray faithfully.
To love sacrificially.
To point our children to Jesus every chance we get.

But we cannot change a heart.

Only God can do that.

There is so much freedom in remembering that our confidence isn’t in our parenting—it’s in the God who loves our children even more than we do.

So keep planting seeds.
Keep praying.
Keep pointing them to Christ.

Then trust the Lord with what only He can do.

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished…” — Philippians 1:6

Hi, I’m Casey. 👋

For those of you who are new around here, I thought I’d introduce myself.

I’m a wife to my best friend and the love of my life of nearly 18 years. Together, we’re raising four amazing kids on a goat ranch in Southern Illinois, where life is often messy, loud, beautiful, and full of adventure.

One of the ways I believe God has called me to serve is by encouraging people to live bold, obedient lives for Jesus.

You’ll hear me talk a lot about “what-ifs” around here because I’ve learned firsthand how fear can keep us stuck. What if I fail? What if I get it wrong? What if people think I’m crazy? What if God can’t use someone like me?

My heart is to help people wage war against those what-ifs by standing firmly in God’s truth, His love, and His promises.

But let me tell you something: I’m still learning too.

I’m a work in progress.

Some days I move forward boldly in faith. Other days I shrink back. Some days I feel brave. Other days I wrestle with fear just like everyone else.

But despite my imperfections, I’ve made up my mind that I want to spend my life following Jesus wholeheartedly, loving Him, loving people, and taking the kinds of godly, obedient risks that make an eternal difference.

Not because I’m fearless.

But because He’s faithful.

If you’re here, my prayer is that you’ll be encouraged to trust God more deeply, live more boldly, and discover that a life surrendered to Jesus is always worth the risk.

What if the season where it looks like nothing is happening… is actually the season where God is doing some of His deepest work? 🌱🍇

We want the fruit. We want the growth. We want the breakthrough. And if we’re honest, we usually want it now.

But fruit takes time.

In Episode 70 of the Worth the Risk Podcast, we’re talking about the slow work of spiritual growth—and what a grapevine can teach us about the seasons when God seems quiet.

Sometimes there’s visible fruit. Sometimes there’s pruning. Sometimes there’s waiting. And sometimes the branch looks bare while something important is happening beneath the surface.

The good news? We don’t have to force the fruit. Our job is to abide in Jesus, stay connected to the Vine, and trust Him with the timing.
