Hello new and longtime friends! I've never done this before but I just wanted to introduce/reintroduce myself and share a few fun facts with you. #abouttheartist

👩🏻‍🎨 I am 45 years old and I have been making art since I was a kid.
🎨I try to make happy art. Pop, nature or mood inspired. Cardboard and bright colored paper are my favorite materials.
🇲🇽 🇮🇹 I'm half Mexican and half Italian and was born in Los Angeles. Love carbs.
🌊👫🏻 I live in Ventura, CA with my favorite human, actor/photographer, love and partner in life @keithdion ❤️
🌯 I love food, cold coffee and put everything in a tortilla. Thanksgiving leftovers burritos are a once a year tradition.
🎧 Music is always present when making art. Love everything: New wave, old jazz, silly, indie, classical, rock, anything sixties, Elvis, Beatles, Neil Diamond, Nina Simone, Talking Heads and old Disney soundtracks. Bedknobs and Broomsticks, baby!🤘🏼
🌿I love nature: Animals of any kind, wild flowers, trees, big rocks, tiny spiders. I can space out to the sound of happy birds by a creek for hours.
🗽We went to New York City once about twenty years ago and fell completely in love with it. It's a movie set come to life kind of place. Remains a constant inspiration. So many food smells, dreams and travel sounds.
📽 Movies are a big part of my art. Love classic comedies, anything Hitchcock, film noir, seventies science fiction, John Hughes, Wes Anderson, misunderstood monsters, Peter Sellers, Pixar, Stanley Kubrick..all of it!
🦸🏻‍♀️ Heroes growing up: Gilda Radner, Jan Hooks (I watched a lot of SNL), Lucille Ball, Mad magazine artist Sergio Aragones, Mary Poppins and both my grandmas.
🙂I currently have a full-time job at a grocery store but it's my goal to be self employed with only my art. Keep those dreams alive!
❤️I believe in kindness, respect, nature, art, science, imagination and most of all love.

Thank you for reading and being here!
Please feel free to introduce yourself or share anything about yourself.
I look forward to sharing more art with you!
Hope you have a great day!

Thank you @seasideodditiesexpo for another great weekend! This show is always so fun and full of love.🖤
Felt so lucky to be a part of it.
Thank you @evolvedartslut for being the incredible person you are and producing such awesome events. You're such a doll and badass.💪🏼
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth and the sweet kids who made art with us. So lovely to meet you all!🙋🏻‍♀️
To our friends @greg.bach and @giltiii. Always a blast seeing you two. Another power couple and funny as hell. Thanks for the wrong sandwich.😄
And I couldn't have done this weekend without my sweet helpers. @teriflopaperarts who chatted with the parents and helped me with the kids' stuff.😊
And last but not least, my lovely husband @keithdion who stayed by my side, made me laugh and carried all my things.❤️ I love you.
Love you all!
This weekend felt so good.🥹🎃 by @casieart
