There are moments on stage where you stop performing and just feel everything. This was one of them.

The BOOGEYMAN has arrived 🌕

Our new single "Boogeyman" is out now on all streaming platforms!

Recorded at the incredible OCL Studios with engineer Josh Gwilliam in April 2026, the track arrives just in time for the Halloween season.

“Boogeyman” is a hard-hitting alternative rock collaboration between Calgary’s Even Odds and Cas Jade, combining high-energy, guitar-driven rock with a dark atmosphere and just the right balance of grit and polish.

What does it actually take for an independent artist to turn an idea into a full cinematic music video?

For Animal it meant a pirate ship at West Edmonton Mall, waterfalls, a full creative team, months of planning, problem solving, long shoot days and a lot of people believing in one very strange little vision I couldn’t let go of. This project became so much bigger than just a music video to me.

It was completely independent, created with an incredible Alberta-based team and there are so many stories, moments and people behind the finished video that you’d never know about just from watching it. So I’m opening that world up. ❤️

From September 23 through October 7, I’ll be sharing a new behind-the-scenes video every Wednesday that gives you a look at the moments, the chaos, the creativity and the people behind Animal. And every Sunday, starting October 4th, I’ll be sharing short conversations with members of the cast and crew about what happened on set and what it was like bringing this world to life.

Some of my favourite moments never made it into the final video…and now you get to see them. 🧜‍♀️🫶

I had such a blast this Summer working as a makeup artist on @casjadee 's new music video for her single "Animal"!

It was so fun to turn everyone into their characters for this shoot! We tried a few versions of the siren before landing on this blue and white look, which beautifully suited the costume created by @scarlettgeekcosplay !

We spent a weekend in Edmonton'a FantasyLand hotel, where @kemas.photography was able to capture these crisp, badass shots of our pirates!

Huge thank yous to @danielle_rb_ for assisting me as we worked to sunrise! An additional thank you to her hub @not_always_human for being a short notice pirate in this shoot!! I am incredibly blessed to have creatively gifted and extremely kind + spontaneous friends 😆🫶

Doubly so, this shoot was 48 hours before Game Con Canada, and Dani made it possible for me to make two back to back trips to and from Edmonton that week, so I am hugely grateful for her getting just as little sleep as I did, and making all those drives 😭🫂

This shoot only amplified my makeup artist itch, so I look forward to the next time I get to do something like this!!
