Convince Me I'm Real, a creepy crawly little short I made last year about ASMR and loneliness and not recognizing yourself, has finally found its forever home: the internet

I'm so grateful to everyone who helped make this happen, to @starling_asmr for her hypnotic work, to the @achillfilmfestival for having us for our premiere in May, and to whoever made the Jeanne Dielman fancam that made me think fuck it I should probably just post this

Watch with headphones, or in a dark little room, or half-awake on your phone with one airpod in for the authentic experience 💿

Can’t believe this is happening but Convince Me I’m Real is going to have its Irish premiere this May at the Achill Island Film Festival @achillfilmfestival

Beyond excited to bring our short to the beautiful west coast, and grateful to be a small part of the artistic community and heritage of Achill

More to come but feeling 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 for now

Last year, I made a short film about loneliness and not recognizing yourself and the hypnotizing sonic world of ASMR. You can’t see it yet, but you can see this graphic poster designed by the wonderful @bersletters because I love a bit of fanfare

This little project means more and more to me as time goes on, particularly because it’s connected me with so many cool and talented people right as connection has become hilariously difficult

Thank you to everyone who was involved, and to everyone who was not involved, thanks for being patient and I hope it eventually makes you feel uncomfortable 👄

Happy first birthday rua!!!! 🥹 you have taught me so much about love and patience and finding joy in the everyday in addition to dramatically increasing my daily step count. You are so much better at running since the day we got you and now it’s all you want to do
