Drama queen #Toto on race week. Truly living up to the person whom she’s named after #totowolff

Toto peed blood on Tuesday. Our domestic helper happens to be cleaning the bathroom when Toto used the litter box. She had a little fall from the cat wall just before going to the litter box. She’s also stressed from our new kitten foster and still can’t get along with Blu. In meantime, she eating, sleeping and playing normal.
Earliest vet appointment was Wednesday. Vet can’t find anything wrong. If it’s UTI /urinary tract infection, she’ll strain to use the litter box but nope (initially we suspected UTI as she holds pee/bladder often since Blu still stalks her whenever she goes to bathroom). If it’s injury from short fall with ruptured blood vessel, Toto would be in pain or have “gone to meet God” (exact words of our Italian vet 😆) by the next day. So conclusion is no conclusion. We found nothing.
She’s a healthy weight (vet says don’t get any heavier, she’s already at max 4kg for adult female cat but Toto absolutely love food) and have beautiful fur shine (vet asked if Toto takes a lot of fishes in her diet but nope, she loves chicken and beef).
As she’s stressed with living in our home (Blu is a terror plus new foster), we sent Toto back to the rescuer. She’ll be living in a separate room with only one elderly cat who has mobility issues. With minimal cat around her, hope Toto will destress and won’t pee blood again. 😓

Hi #catsofinstagram . I am new here as I have just been rescued from the street. I am an underweight 3-month-old brown tabby kitten, weighing only 1kg / 2 lbs. I’m an absolute lap cat. I’m surprisingly healthy despite being underweight, with no fleas nor fungal infections. I don’t make a fuss when my claws are trimmed (had to trim as she loves climbing on human lap).
Now that I have first taste of technology (literally tasting an iPhone 16), you’ll be sure to see more of me here.

My jie jies (older sisters) are not too enthusiastic about meeting me (Blu is curious but afraid, watching from afar, Toto hisses, Toram is nonchalant 🫠).

Toto has a bit of fungal (it’s also called Ringworm but nothing to do with worm; it’s just skin infection). She had to be bathed with special anti fungal shampoo weekly. Ma had time to film while waiting 10 minutes after suds up for the special shampoo to do its work.
Toto is also on anti fungal medication. She came to our home asymptomatic but the hardy spores can survive up to 18 months. There’s really no full proof way to prevent it.
Blu and Toram bathed too but a quick one since there’s no sign of fungal on them so no pic/vid. Good that they don’t share bedding with Toto. But Toto loves to sleep on human bed and cat’s fungal can infect Humans. We are cleaning and disinfecting our home

Just another “peaceful” day 😌

Cats that hisses/are loud don’t equate they are fierce. A hissing cat is simply communicating boundaries and asking for space, not looking for a fight. By hissing, Toto is essentially saying, "Please back off, I'm scared!". Initially we isolate Toto in separate room, then it’s open door but still with separate feeding area, water bowl and litter box and gradually everything for the cats is together. It doesn’t look like serious attack will happen between the cats from many observations and also from past experiences.
Our late boys especially Mini the alpha will attack fosters till bloody (he didn’t like when Ma spend more time with foster kitty - he didn’t understand most foster kitty need extra care eg oral or topical medication, bandages, repeat medicated baths, ear cleaning etc. He didn’t attack any neonatal kittens despite Ma doing bottle feedings every few hours. Also Mini didn’t care how much time Da spends with other cats or fosters 🤣).
