I got to finish this asymmetrical chest pre-design yesterday for Rachael! I love doing this placement because it has such a unique flow. Rachael sat SO well for this, if you have this spot tattooed you know it’s a pretty tough one to sit for, especially on the sternum and on the neck!

My seminar starts with colored pencils 🖍️
Before we tattoo together, we draw. Colored pencils are the foundation for my understanding of color layering, seeing value before color-the same way I tattoo.

Day one you’ll draw a rose with freehanded elements and we will work one on one on technique, color theory, and developing your voice through drawing.
Day two we will tattoo the same rose on fake skin!

Shefali and I are on session 6 of her sleeve we started in Chicago 💌my favorite way to look at tattoos is in natural light, and I always feel like tattoos look better in person ✨but we do our best!✨

Your grandparents porch in the early summer with light filtering through trees, or in the winter with the snow falling outside while you read a book- you can feel it through a photo, how much a place is loved 💌
I love this tattoo I got to do for my client Elizabeth, whose family photos and surrounding woods of Wisconsin inspired this really special design. Super rare bng tattoo…. and this one is sappy, I cry just thinking about this tattoo I got to do last week. Last week I got to tattoo Brice, my friend and mentor of over 15 years; it was a very surreal moment to say the least.
We had the most lovely ever conversation about art and life and everything, some of which I’ll share soon in a little table talk💌 for now, enjoy me waxing poetic 🧚🏻‍♀️
