type 1 diabetes + food = 😐😵‍💫😖 it’s complicated to say the least. there’s a lot of times where eating doesn’t feel enjoyable. carbs will never be looked at the same, the blood sugar rollercoaster makes you sick, the food doesn’t feel worth it anymore. and the low blood sugars where you are forced to eat so much candy in the middle of the night. the same candy that you kept yourself from eating earlier that day because you didn’t want to risk a high. And then you wake up never wanting to look at candy again. It doesn’t feel enjoyable anymore. not to mention the mental toll this takes. this past year has been a long journey, but I am finding more food freedom again. if you are struggling, I see you 🩵 keep going #type1diabetes #diabetesawareness #t1d #bloodsugar #chronicillness by @cass.t1d
