Hi All,

I thought I’d introduce myself and thank you for following! There are a lot of creatives and art lovers out there.

My name is Cassandra Ng, I’m a Sydney based doctor and artist. I work 2 days a week in General Practice, 1 day in Mental Health and 3 days a week as a Visual Artist. I love all of my jobs.

After burnout as a junior doctor, I worked part time in Emergency Departments and did a Masters of Art (Painting Major) at COFA (College of Fine Arts) which is now UNSW Art & Design.

I began as a figurative painter mostly doing oil on canvas nudes. I took an abstraction class and they gave us a brief to create a painting using text. I chose morse code as my text and soon it became my language.

During medical school I watched a documentary on Autism that said some people with Autism have Synaesthesia where they hear music and see colour. I was taken by this idea.

I listen to songs and interpret them into colourscapes with morse code creating the pattern and lyrics to the song.

Outside of this I have 2 primary school aged kids and a supportive husband. I love coffee, gin and a good lie down.

Feet on the ground, head in the clouds is how I like to live.

TO BUILD A HOME (The Cinematic Orchestra) “I built a home, for you, for me”

It is finished. 6 months of painting for two shows. I’m done.

I adore this song. Love, loss, the transience of life with a moving video clip to match.

See you at the fair. by @cassandra_ng_art

Artists are often asked if they have any backstock or spare works. The answer is usually no.

But in the lead-up to the fair we’re putting our best foot forward and bringing together all the work we’ve been creating, ready to share.

For me, this is the most work I’ve ever had available at one time — over 40 works across two shows this November!

Collector share - a lovely couple from Melbourne had missed out on a work from Art to Art that they really liked, they found one they loved just as much 6 months later. With a new Fenton and Fenton buffet to match. “Walking On a Dream” is available online as a print, see my website. Thanks for sharing!

People are soo romantic! I have inadvertently found myself as a niche wedding song commission painter. It’s my number one commission. And I well up a bit because people are so thoughtful and have such a love for their partner. The cool thing is I get to be part of the surprise! It’s a golden moment. I don’t take it for granted.

I didn’t know I’d get a second career at 40. I didn’t even dream that I could make this a job, I was just doing it anyway.

Thanks for the memories people. X 🥺🥲🥰 by @cassandra_ng_art
