We’re very excited to have @cassandra_ng_art in the gallery for her solo show Aura Australis. The exhibition kicks off this Thursday with early previews already out to subscribers. If you haven’t gotten the email, just send us a message and we’ll forward it on. Aura Australis celebrates the soundtrack of Australia through a vibrant collection of synaesthetic paintings inspired by iconic Australian songs. Cassandra translates songs and lyrics into visual language through expressive colour palettes, Morse code and gold leaf. These are contemporary, clever and vibrant works that we can’t wait to share. Join us and @cassandra_ng_art for the opening party on Saturday the 14th from 2-4pm - pop it in your calendars! We look forward to having you there. by @sydneyroadgallery

What an incredible first week we’ve had for @katie.firth.art and @mary_stack duo show ‘Close to Home’! Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday to celebrate the official opening of the show. We loved having you in the gallery with us. Congratulations Katie and Mary! Please join us tomorrow to celebrate the opening of Katie Firth and Mary Stack‘s gorgeous show ‘Close to Home’. We will be having some drinks in the gallery between 2 pm and 4 pm. Openings like this are a wonderful opportunity to get to meet the artists. It’s also a chance for us to congratulate our artists on their amazing efforts - they’ve pulled together a wonderful collection of work. As always, all welcome! by @sydneyroadgallery
@mary_stack and @katie.firth.art duo show ‘Close to Home’ opens today! Yesterday we introduced you to Mary Stack, and today we are introducing you to Katie Firth. We just adore the composition and colour in this piece ‘The Commute’. There’s such a freshness and looseness to Katie‘s brush work. Her pieces feel so contemporary, but there’s a real nostalgia and warmth in the imagery. The presale for this show has been hugely popular, so be sure to check it out online or visit us in person! Katie’s work ‘Lunch With The Locals’ was chosen as the winning centrepiece in the Peninsula Hot Springs Challenge on The Block. She has been a Salon des Refusés finalist in 2023, 2024 and 2026, and currently has a piece on tour with the Salon. by @sydneyroadgallery
This week we open our new show ‘Close to Home’, a duo between Katie Firth and Mary Stack. So today we’d like to introduce you to @mary_stack with this quintessential piece, ‘Tablecloth, Unfolded’. This painting is both modern and a nod to a note to the tradition of painting cloth. It is truly beautiful, with a lovely sense of stillness. A pivotal piece for any home. Mary was recently selected as a finalist in the Willoughby Emerging Art Prize and 2026 Interiors Art Prize at Weswal Gallery. She has been a finalist in the Pymble Values and National Emerging Art Prizes and her work has been shown at Sydney Contemporary and Michael Reid. The presale for this show has been hugely popular, so be sure to check it out when it goes live tomorrow! by @sydneyroadgallery

We had a lot of fun setting the scene for our current exhibition‘Memories Made’. One of the stars of the show is this gorgeous refurbished writing desk by @cory_a_hayes. You can’t see it here, but the drawers have beautiful paper inlays that complement the gold shell drawer pulls. We love that kind of attention to detail! So if you’re in search of a writing or art desk, come in and take a look or send us a message. Completing the scene, we have gorgeous porcelain vases and nest by @jo_victoria_mud, a small dreamy landscape painting by @cheryl.richardson.art and the lovely botanical duo by @ali.werbeloff.art by @sydneyroadgallery
