I’m looking for a Launch Team!

One year ago, I released ‘Between Pain and Praise’—five years of healing, faith, grief, forgiveness, pain and praise put into words.

But the story didn’t end on the last page.

Life kept happening. Healing kept happening. God kept teaching me.

So on October 21, 2026, I’m returning to the story with ‘Between Pain and Praise: One Year Later’—a special Anniversary Edition featuring a couple new writings from the year that followed.

And I’d love to have you beside me.

Want to join the Anniversary Launch Team and get early access, sneak peeks & exclusive content?

I’ve been holding this quietly for a long time…
but today I’m finally ready to share it.
I wrote a book.
A poetry collection called Between Pain and Praise — born from the valleys I never thought I’d make it out of.
It’s not just poetry — it’s prayers, grief, healing, and the kind of honesty I used to be afraid of.
And today, it’s officially published on Amazon.
I don’t have perfect words — just a grateful heart and tears in my eyes.
Thank you to the ones who stood beside me in the dark — you are in these pages. 🩵

5 DAYS.

I genuinely don’t know how we got here this quickly.

In five days, it will officially be one year since I took one of the scariest steps of my life and released Between Pain & Praise into the world.

I thought I was publishing a finished story.

I didn’t know how much God was still going to write.

This past year has held healing and heartbreak. Grief and growth. Questions and answers. Waiting, wrestling, peace, and a whole lot of grace.

And somehow, all of it led back to these pages.

One Year Later isn’t about looking back and pretending everything became easier. It’s about looking back and realizing God was faithful through all of it.

The pain didn’t disappear.
The story didn’t become perfect.
But there was still praise.

And in 5 days, I finally get to put the next chapter into your hands.

We’re almost there.

In just 8 days, Between Pain & Praise turns one—and Between Pain & Praise: One Year Later officially becomes yours.

It’s strange trying to fit everything this book means to me into a 77-second video. A year ago, I was terrified to let these words leave my hands. Now I’m getting ready to share even more of the story.

More healing. More honesty. More grief. More grace. And another year of seeing just how faithful God has been through all of it.

I never wanted Between Pain & Praise to tell a story where everything suddenly became okay. I wanted it to tell the truth: sometimes healing still hurts. Sometimes faith still wrestles. Sometimes praise exists right alongside the pain.

And somehow, God is present in all of it.

8 days.

The story didn’t end on the last page.
The story continues.

Somehow, we are officially 9 DAYS away from Between Pain & Praise: One Year Later.

From the Pages | Week Four

“Pleased and Redeemed”

There was a time when so much of my writing was simply about surviving what had happened to me.

Pleased and Redeemed came years later.

By then, the question wasn’t only “How do I survive this?” It had become something deeper:

After everything I’ve done, everything I’ve seen, and everything that’s been done to me… how could God still look at me and call me His?

This poem begins from that place of unworthiness. I wrote the words I was afraid were true about myself—and then allowed God’s response to interrupt them.

“But the Lord will whisper,
Child, lift up your head.”

I think that’s still one of my favorite transitions I’ve ever written.

Because redemption didn’t mean what happened suddenly became good. It didn’t erase the things I had done while hurting, either.

It meant none of those things got the final word.

The poem begins with “I’m not worthy of thee.”

It ends with:

“Forever loved,
And made new in Me.
For you, My dear daughter,
Are loved by Me.”

And somewhere between those two statements is a lot of my story.

This is Week Four of From the Pages, and with Between Pain & Praise: One Year Later now only two weeks away, this one feels especially important to share.

Because the story didn’t end in the ashes.

There was redemption there, too.

15 days.

In just over two weeks, Between Pain & Praise will officially be one year old—and I’ll get to share One Year Later with you.

When I published this book last October, I thought I was releasing a finished collection. I didn’t realize how much of the story God was still writing.

The past year didn’t erase the pain written about in the original pages. Instead, it gave me new words for what came after it—the healing, the grief, the waiting, the questions, the peace, and the moments when I realized God had been present in places I once thought He was silent.

That’s what One Year Later became.

It’s the original story, but from a little further down the road. New poetry. New reflections. More honesty. And another year of learning that pain and praise don’t have to be opposites.

15 days until you get to read the next chapter.

The story didn’t end on the last page. The story continues.

FROM THE PAGES | Week Three

These pages are a little different.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve opened the original Between Pain & Praise and shared the stories behind some of its pages. But this week, I’m not just sharing a poem.

I’m sharing the truth behind one.

“The Tears Came.”

When I originally published this book, I wrote that this poem was written after my grandpa passed away.

That wasn’t the full story.

I actually wrote The Tears Came while sitting in my chapel, just two weeks before publishing Between Pain & Praise. We had recently learned that my grandpa had cancer.

He was still here.
But for the first time in my life, I realized he wasn’t invincible.

There was this strange kind of grief that came before any loss—the fear of what could happen, the pain of watching someone I love hurt, and the realization that there was absolutely nothing I could do to protect the man who had spent my entire life protecting me.

And so, the tears came.

But unlike some of the earlier pages in this book, I knew where to take them.

A year ago, I wasn’t ready to tell that part of the story publicly. So I tucked the truth away inside the poem.

For the Anniversary Edition, I decided I didn’t want to hide it anymore.

The poem itself hasn’t changed.

I have.

And maybe that’s part of what One Year Later means.

Same pages.
A little more healing.
A little more honesty.
And another year of learning that even weeping can be worship.

30 DAYS.

We are officially one month away!

And I think it’s finally time to show you the cover.

Between Pain & Praise: One Year Later — Anniversary Edition

When I published Between Pain & Praise last October, I was sharing five years of words I had written through some of the hardest seasons of my life. Poems written while surviving. While grieving. While questioning. While healing. And eventually, while learning how to praise God in the middle of it all.

I thought I was releasing a finished collection…Then life kept living.

Another year brought more healing. More growth. More questions. New valleys. New community. And a deeper understanding that being healed doesn’t mean I’ll never hurt again.

So these are the same stories, with new pages.

The Anniversary Edition holds the original collection alongside new reflections and poetry written one year later—words about rest, waiting, and learning that God’s presence isn’t reserved for the moments when I’m falling apart.

And today, I finally get to show you the cover that will hold all of it.

FROM THE PAGES | Week Two

These pages in the book cover a wide range of highs and lows I’ve experienced, and these poems became a way for me to get the thoughts out of my head or connect with God.

Over the next several Wednesdays leading up to the Anniversary Edition, I’m going to open the original book and share some of its pages with you — especially for those who haven’t had the chance to read it yet.

And there’s only one place to continue from last week.

“Pain and Praise”

This one was a more recent poem, the last one I wrote before publishing.

The one that carried a deep ache from watching someone else walk their journey.

“Watching with awe
Looking at grief”

That’s the battle that was raging inside me — watching my grandpa be at peace and find comfort in the Lord’s plan while I wept over what could be lost.
