I was a self-proclaimed girl mom in my head 7 years ago. And then I had twin boys…and then another boy.

And now I’m all in.

This isn’t about believing that boys are better than girls or that having a daughter wouldn’t have been wonderful. It’s about realizing that contentment doesn’t require the picture I had before.

We’re not “trying for a girl” because our family feels complete. Not because we gave up. And no one feels more disappointed on our behalf than the strangers at the grocery store.

And I’m confident that at least one boy will bring home a girl I like someday, right? 😉
