Zondag: met Gregory Frateur sings Billie Holiday and then some (15.00 u.)

A huge thank you to the amazing Ahn Yujin for showing me the basics of the beautiful Janggu! 🥁✨
After a very nice concert by The Crane, she took the time to demonstrate how to bring out the different sounds and techniques from this traditional Korean drum. I am so grateful for this special moment! 🙏🧡

Gregory Frateur

Gregory Frateur: zang
Nicolas Rombouts: bas
Steven Cassiers: drums
Bram Weijters: piano

Today’s the day!
Our first full live album “LIVE!” is out, both physically and on all digital platforms. 💥

Recorded back in 2023, this release captures some of our most memorable moments on stage, with alternative takes on a number of our favorite compositions. It’s raw, unfiltered, and exactly how we like it: live, in the moment, and without boundaries.

Mixed by: @cassierssteven

Beside drumming, I’ve spent 20 years exploring the magic of mixing. From the ‘Steven Cassiers Sessions’ to recording classical music and my own Vliegwerk album, it’s always been about the balance between technique and intuition.
I recently finished the mix for the upcoming Dans Dans live album. It captures the raw energy of our 2023 shows—a challenging project, but ultimately a very liberating one. You can hear the result on Record Store Day, April 18th, when the vinyl officially hits the shelves!
