i’m grateful to have met you at tay’s curse of strahd birthday party, to have played dnd with you, to have roleplayed with you, to have shared the handful of memories i have with you. i’ll think of you in every dice i roll, in every walk i take.

i had more i wanted to do for today—comics and illustrations i wanted to draw—but none i could finish in time. i hope i can someday.

when my storyboarding class made us draw a car chase scene using any characters we wanted, i immediately knew i wanted to draw my and my friends’ D&D characters... and then i went, “wait... what if i actually ran a D&D oneshot based on this assignment, and i just board whatever happens?” so that’s what i did.

i’d never DM’ed before and on a whim i decided to do it for this silly idea. shoutout to my friends who agreed to play D&D mario kart with me! you all are the best. i love you guys <3

everyone’s starting new campaigns and you’re not here to play in any of them. i wish you were here.

today marks 2 years since bee’s passing. playing at the table these days is different without her. i so fondly remember the last sessions we had: the characters she voiced, the art she drew, how we felt sitting at the table playing dnd again, not knowing it’d be the last time with her. i wish we could’ve seen bee’s stories through to the end, and i wish she were here to tell new stories with us now.

i’ll never not wonder who bee would’ve played for oldespell or lost years; what eishah would’ve been like in lushaven; or what characters she would be creating for soulbound and callosa now.

the very last shot i rough animated for @snubbed_film!
.
considering the first shot i did for the film was the other juggling shot, it felt poetic that the second juggling shot was my last. this one was longer and all three characters were moving this time, so it really felt like a beast to animate. i have fond memories of working on this shot everywhere to get it done 🤭

i got to do this insane shot for @snubbed_film! much thanks to the directors for entrusting me with it 🙇
.
shoutout to @kipkune for working his 3d magic: he built the shot with 2d assets in toonboom and moved the camera—i just had to draw on top of it!
.
considering my storyboarding and animation origins were firealpaca and old windows movie maker—where i had to manually draw my camera movements (and i loved dynamic shots and spinning the camera around)—i was super excited about animating this shot despite its challenges. i spent days in monty hall working on it piece by piece, starting with the characters and then the arch and the brazier. it’s definitely one of my proudest shots of the film! :D

i loved doing this shot because it was one i was with since the very beginning of @snubbed_film’s preproduction! the boards here were literally the first few scribbles of that scene just to get the idea down, and then i never touched it again (hence it’s very messy). and then i animated and cleaned and colored and composited the shot till the end. and if you know me, you know i’m a sucker for seeing where things started to where they ended up :’>
.
also the two clowns fighting here (aside from our main characters, pebble and jingle) are @jesterjamble and @kipkune’s clownsonas! the other clowns in the crowd are cameos from a few of our crew—including our professor!

thank you all so much for the love on @snubbed_film!! it was an honor to work on this capstone with such a wonderful crew and professor, and i’m happy i got the opportunity to!!
.
i was responsible for some of the storyboards, storyboard revisions, and animation. to start, here’s the very first shot i animated for the film back in dec 2024. i loved jingle and pebble’s introduction and got to animate a few shots for it. i can’t juggle, so i watched a handful of juggling videos to make sure i animated pebble right!
