💠🌿🐈Hello friends! The photo of this interesting plant was taken in Turkey for #plushiebotanicalclub by @hoshi.chan.neko. The plant is known as globe thistles. The Latin name Echinops comes from the Greek words “echinos” (hedgehog) and “ops” (appearance), because the spherical inflorescences resemble a curled‑up hedgehog with protruding spines. This plant is found in Europe, North Africa and Asia. The genus Echinops includes about 130 species. Many species of Echinops are excellent honey sources. The plant is also used in traditional medicine. Some species of Echinops are used in landscape design. It is important to remember: all parts of the plant contain a toxic alkaloid. Animals that eat Echinops can become poisoned.

👨‍🚒🐈🚒 Our post is about a cat named Semyon, who was an unofficial employee of the fire department in our city. As a kitten, he was brought to the fire station, but he quickly adapted and began to serve diligently. Semyon was given a set of special clothing. He was a true member of the team, attending daily morning drills, inspecting the station's grounds, met and saw off the firefighters and helping with rodent control. Unfortunately, three years ago, the cat tragically passed away. Semyon was a true friend to the firefighters. This mural was dedicated to him, and a bronze sculpture was installed as part of a composition dedicated to the heroic deeds of firefighters🙏🧯🔥
Next week, @lucky.goobs will be hosting #plushiecolourquest.

🇹🇷🏛️😺 Hello friends! #plushiecolourquest continues! The theme of the week is "All Cats".
Ancient Side is the "archaeological pearl" of Turkey. It was founded by the Greeks in the 7th century BC. Later, the city was ruled by various states, and it reached its peak during the Roman period. Today, it is a popular tourist destination. During our vacation, we often walked around the ancient city and, of course, met cats everywhere - the main guardians of the ancient ruins 😀🛡️🐈‍⬛
We invite everyone to join our #allcatswithbasik. We are waiting for your photos and videos of your pets or cute cats you have met somewhere. We are also happy to see posts with any images of cats (on paintings, murals, textiles, and ceramics) or items and artobjects in the form of cats.
Please tag us @catbasik_fromsiberia and @eeyoreroundstheworld and don't forget to use the hashtags #allcatswithbasik and #plushiecolourquest. The quest will continue until August 2.

🇹🇷😺🐾 Hello friends! Our #plushiecolourquest continues, and we continue to introduce you to the cats of Side.
In Turkey, there is a special, almost sacred attitude towards cats. They can be seen everywhere: on the streets, in cafes, and in shops. Images of cats are also often found on various objects.
According to legend, the Prophet Muhammad showed great respect for cats and allowed them to enter mosques. On one occasion, the Prophet cut off a piece of his clothing to avoid waking up a cat that was sleeping on it.
We also love cats very much, and we invite everyone to join our #allcatswithbasik. Please show us any cats: your pets, your friends' pets, your neighbors' pets, or the cats you met on your walk. We would also love to see posts with any images of cats (on paintings, textiles, or ceramics) and any items shaped like cats. You can also show us some street art installations or monuments to cats.
Please tag us @catbasik_fromsiberia and @eeyoreroundstheworld and use the hashtags #allcatswithbasik and #plushiecolourquest. The number of posts is unlimited. All participants will receive a special badge.
