Cat Basik and Alicia

🇹🇷😺🐾 Hello friends! Our #plushiecolourquest continues, and we continue to introduce you to the cats of Side.
In Turkey, there is a special, almost sacred attitude towards cats. They can be seen everywhere: on the streets, in cafes, and in shops. Images of cats are also often found on various objects.
According to legend, the Prophet Muhammad showed great respect for cats and allowed them to enter mosques. On one occasion, the Prophet cut off a piece of his clothing to avoid waking up a cat that was sleeping on it.
We also love cats very much, and we invite everyone to join our #allcatswithbasik. Please show us any cats: your pets, your friends' pets, your neighbors' pets, or the cats you met on your walk. We would also love to see posts with any images of cats (on paintings, textiles, or ceramics) and any items shaped like cats. You can also show us some street art installations or monuments to cats.

В Турции особое, почти священное отношение к кошкам. Их можно увидеть повсюду: на улицах, в кафе, в магазинах. Также часто изображения кошек можно увидеть на самых разных вещах.
По преданию, пророк Мухаммед проявлял к кошкам большое уважение, разрешил им заходить в мечети. Однажды пророк отрезал часть одежды, чтобы не разбудить спящего на ней кота.
