Full bleach out on Asian hair is a challenge I’ll always accept 🤍 It can be difficult getting dark level 1–4 hair light enough for a color like this or brighter, but you just gotta have lots of time, patience, and BLEACH!!!

The formula was: 9-42 7-42 8-0 8-11 0-11

In a world that tells stylists to pick a niche, I’ve always loved doing a little bit of everything. Over the years, I’ve shifted where I spend most of my time behind the chair, but I’ve never stopped loving the variety that made me fall in love with doing hair in the first place. 🤍

It may look like luck from the outside, but this life was built through years of long days, early mornings, sacrifices, risks, and choosing to keep going. Even when it would’ve been easier to quit.

I didn’t just start doing hair and expected clients would sit in my chair! I didn’t just go rental and expected to know how to run my own business. I didn’t just open up a business and hope people showed up. I took models, practiced my craft, invested in education, learned how to create content, spent time learning how I could increase my income and spent countless hours figuring out what worked for me on social media. When something didn’t work, I adjusted and tried again. I never stopped learning, growing, or finding new ways to build my business!! I never gave up.

You can invest in education, learn from other people, and receive all the advice in the world. Buuuuut if you aren’t willing to apply it and put in the work yourself, nothing is going to change. Nobody else can want it more than you do.

And I don’t just work hard in my business. I put in the work on myself, too. I get up early. I work out. I learn. I grow. I try new things, even when they scare me. I don’t sit around blaming other people, waiting for someone to save me, or relying on someone else to create the life I want.

If I want something, I figure out what it takes and I go get it. Period. I’m proud of the life I’ve created, but I’m even more proud of the version of me who kept working for it when no one was watching. 🤍

And I’m still just getting started.

Stop holding yourself back and feeling sorry for yourself. Your life isn’t going to change unless you do. The quality of your life is directly tied to the work you’re willing to put in, so get out of your own way and go fucking get it. 😤 taken in Phoenix, Arizona by @catcoiffeur
