I’ve been having conversations about life, art, and spirituality on this page for a long time, and one lesson keeps finding me:

The more I define success through someone else’s eyes, the harder it becomes to see my own vision.

As a Black woman and as an artist, I’ve had to learn that not every expectation deserves my agreement. Not every opinion deserves my attention. And not every version of success is mine to pursue.

Protecting your vision is a creative practice.

I hope these reminders help you return to your own voice, your own pace, and your own definition of success.
