I almost threw this one away.

it felt like too much…
too loud, too chaotic, not “right”

I was ready to stop halfway.

but something told me to just finish it anyway.

and somewhere between doubt and stubbornness…
it came alive.

Have you ever taken a trip on the whirlwind, just to experience life for a moment?

Greece, is a very special place in my heart. A place where not just where the Greek gods rule and play, but where I rediscover the magic of life, nature and beauty of everyday moment.

I was intentional in packing my small travel watercolors but it was in Greece when I first tried this medium, that flows and bleeds in ways that is so special.

This is where I fell in love with the softness and ambiguity of watercolors and began to include this flow into my art, that once only told stories of bold, strong acrylics colors.

Join me in my journey as I alternate between soft graceful watercolors and strong bold strokes of acrylics.

There’s a tiny moment every artist lives for.

Not the first brushstroke.
Not even the finished painting.

It’s this part.

The slow peel.
The crisp white border.
The little gasp when chaos suddenly looks complete. ✨

Somehow tape removal feels like closing a chapter and opening a gallery at the same time.

I don’t start with flowers.

I start with words I’m trying to believe.

This time it was:
trust the process.

Then I paint over it.
Layer by layer. Doubt by doubt.

Until it disappears…
but somehow still stays.

Because not everything meant for you
needs to be seen to work.

What’s the most expensive thing you ever own?

This trend got me thinking of what I consider true luxury.

The flowers were painted on afternoon where I had the luxury to just play with my new watercolors and admire the beautiful peonies in the book that I borrowed from the library.

The Easter Eggs were created with my art buddy over 2 weekends and we had so much fun painting and adding beautiful details.

Lastly, the bunny was a work I created during COVID. That was the start of my rebirth for art, picking up my brushes again as an adult.

I never looked back.

This is true luxury

I came to Tokyo for work.
Schedules. Meetings. Noise.

The city didn’t slow down for me.
So I kept going.

Until something softened.

In between trains, rain, and long nights…
I found a quiet moment.
And I started to paint.

Not what I saw.
But what I felt.

And somewhere along the way,
I found my way back to myself.

I came here alone.
I leave wrapped in family.
