🧶 MY MID-YEAR REVIEW 🧶 Rating my own designs so far! The finished and the unfinished.

A lot has happened in the last 6 months and I wouldn't be without any of it, even if everything hasn't gone as planned.

As a new knitwear designer, I got a little carried away and started several projects in a short time. Of the 6 designs I started, two of them have been published and one is work in progress. Well, all of them are work in progress, but only one is my priority right now 🌿

I can't wait to show you more soon 💚

Turns out, I had absolutely nothing to be sceptical about 😂

This weekend was pure magic...beautiful views, fresh air, good company and the loveliest little rooftop tent adventure ❤️

And of course I had my Dreamleaf scarf with me 🌿

I honestly wasn’t prepared for this... 🥹❤️

Over 90 of you want to test knit my new Dreamleaf Scarf 🌿 I’m incredibly grateful that you want to be part of bringing this design to life ❤️

I wish I could choose every single one of you, but with limited spots for each size, I’ve now had to make the very difficult decision of choosing my test knitters.

If you applied but didn’t get a spot this time, please know that it wasn’t easy choosing.

And don’t worry, there will be more opportunities to test knit future designs, so this definitely won’t be the last time I’m looking for test knitters 🌿

Thank you for all the love, support and excitement around the Dreamleaf Scarf. It honestly means more than you know ❤️

Would you like to test knit the Dreamleaf scarf?

Dreamleaf scarf is a double-layered scarf with a delicate leaf pattern along one side, knitted in the round according to charts and with purl stitches and edge stitches. You knit the scarf i two parts, starting in the middle.

Information about sizes, gauge, needle size, measurements and yarn amount is in the photos.

There is two different gauges in the pattern.

I need testknitters for these sizes:
(Sponsored yarn is only shipped in Norway)

For the gauge 22 sts:
1) Yarn sponsored by me: Knit&Note merino and cashmere mohair in the color 314 Golden walnut
3) Yarn sponsored by me: Sandnes Garn Sunday and Tynn silk mohair in the color 3021 Light beige
4) Any yarn substitues are welcome.

For the gauge 24 sts:
2) Yarn sponsored by me: Cardiff Cashmere Classic in the color 622 Corteccia
3) Any yarn substitues are welcome.
4) Sponsored by @filcolana Arwetta and Tilia in the color 105 Slate Green

Any yarn substitues are welcome as long as they meet either of the two gauges.

The deadline will be 4 weeks from either receiving the pattern or receiving the yarn. The pattern can be tested in norwegian or english.

If you are interested please write in the comments which size and gauge you would like to knit, and which yarn you would like to use.

I will contact the selected testers by the end of this week.

The red one is knitted in Cashmere Classic from @cardiffcashmere, bought at @strikkefryden

Remember when I said the Dreamleaf Scarf pattern would soon be ready for test knitting?

Well...life had other plans 🌿

The last couple of weeks have been a lot. There have been some pretty big changes behind the scenes, including starting a new job - which happened remarkably quickly. I went from applying for the job, to interview, to getting the job, attending my first staff meeting and working my first shift...all in one week 😂

So there simply hasn’t been quite as much time for knitting or pattern writing as I had planned.

Apparently “coming soon” is a flexible concept when you’re a knitter with a life outside knitting 😂🧶

But I’m getting back to it now, and I’m really happy with how the Dreamleaf Scarf is coming together 🌿

This is the biggest of the four sizes, and I'm knitting it in Cashmerini from @gabo.wool, bought at @broengarn 🧶
