If you’re new to hot pot life, here’s how it goes: you pick a selection of raw ingredients and you cook them yourself in the broth. The broth is placed on a burner right in front of you. It is usually already seasoned/flavorful and you can just put whatever you want right into it. The menu is typically extensive and consists of different meats, vegetables, noodles, etc. Some of the meat is thinly sliced and just needs to go in for just a quick dip, say 30 seconds, otherwise you’d be eating overcooked chewy regret. Noodles and veggies take longer, You just toss them in and pull them out later.

📍 Salma’s Lebanese Restaurant – Lagos 🇱🇧🍽️
🎥 Vlog Stop: Taste-testing a piece of Lebanon in the heart of Lagos.

Started off strong with some Moutabbal (Hummus) as an appetizer — creamy, smooth, and perfectly plated. Served with warm pita bread, it set the tone with high expectations. 👌🏽✨

For the main course, we went with a classic Lebanese rice and grilled chicken combo. The presentation? Aesthetically pleasing. The taste? Hmm… let’s just say it looked better than it hit. Flavors were mild, and the seasoning didn’t quite pack the punch we were hoping for. The chicken was tender but lacked that signature Lebanese flair. 🐓🍚

Washed it all down with a Chapman, which honestly might’ve been the highlight of the meal — refreshing, fizzy, and perfectly chilled. 🍹🔥

🌟 Final thoughts? Beautiful ambiance, attentive service, but the food itself felt a bit underwhelming — not bad, just mid. If you’re chasing bold, memorable flavors, this might not be your final destination. But if you’re in for a calm evening with decent bites and aesthetic vibes, it might be worth a stop.
