🎁 Help Us Build Our Holiday Baskets of Hope!
Saverio and I are continuing our High Hopes Challenge with an ambitious goal of raising $100,000 in support of Kids Cancer Care and the kids and families they serve.
As part of our campaign, we are putting together Holiday Baskets of Hope filled with wonderful products, gift cards, services and experiences donated by businesses and friends in our community. The baskets will be auctioned during the holiday season, with proceeds going directly to Kids Cancer Care.
This is where we could use your help!
If you or your business would like to contribute a product, gift card, service or experience to help us build these special holiday baskets, we would be incredibly grateful.
Every contribution will help us create something people will be excited to bid on while helping Saverio and me move closer to our $100,000 fundraising goal for Kids Cancer Care.

A $30 million gift. An extraordinary investment in our students and Alberta’s future. ✈️

Yesterday, I was honoured to attend the announcement at @sait s Art Smith Aero Centre, celebrating the remarkable generosity of Mr. David and Mrs. Leslie Bissett.
David’s $30 million gift will help establish the Bissett Autonomous Aviation Park, creating opportunities for students to learn, test and innovate alongside industry in the growing field of autonomous aviation. The investment also includes $6 million for student awards, helping more learners access these opportunities. SAIT
As a member of SAIT’s Board of Governors, it is incredibly meaningful to see this kind of belief in our students translated into opportunities that can shape their lives.
One of the highlights for me was hearing from Troy, a SAIT student whose passion for his studies was unmistakable. He spoke so enthusiastically, bringing the purpose of the day into focus. Behind the facilities, technology and investment are people with ambitions, ideas and so much to contribute.
It was wonderful to share the occasion with David and Leslie Bissett, Lynda Holden, Dr. David Ross, His Worship Mayor Jeromy Farkas and the Honourable Myles McDougall. Digital Journal

CBI Business Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a growing Calgary organization looking to add a talented Junior Finance and Compliance Coordinator to its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized and comfortable working with numbers, systems and confidential information. The role provides hands-on exposure to financial administration, accounting support, payroll and accounting system integration, compliance tracking, records management and special projects. The successful candidate will be someone who notices when something does not look right, is willing to investigate discrepancies, follows through on outstanding information and understands that accuracy matters. You do not need to know everything on day one. What matters is that you bring a strong foundation, sound judgment, curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn. Experience or education in accounting, finance or business administration would be an asset, along with familiarity with areas such as accounts payable, reconciliations, expense documentation, Excel, payroll or accounting systems and records management.
