Previewing this weekend, CATHERINE CLAYTON-SMITH’s exhibition Breading Beauty 4 - 28th February.

Opening celebration this Wednesday, 5- 7pm Catherine Clayton-Smith’s Breeding Beauty considers painting as a process of cultivation rather than resolution.

Images proliferate through accumulation, revision, and erasure, drawing from a vast archive of photographic sources—historical and contemporary, personal and peripheral. Fragments are gathered and reworked, oscillating between representation and abstraction. Meaning remains open, unfolding through the act of looking, as each work resists closure and stays in a state of becoming.
