Not in chronological order. I realized about a year or two ago I didn’t really know what my “art style” was, so I’ve just been drawing a little bit as much as I can to try and figure that out. I still don’t know what my “style” is, but I’m getting a better idea of what I’m drawn toward (pun intended I guess) and what satisfies me in a sketch.

I encourage you to get it out, make it small, and get a pen/pencil/marker you really like. You’ll never know what you’ll find out about yourself unless you try.

Want to place this in a permanent spot on my grid. The poem I shared at Elizabeth Street Garden this past summer titled “Untitled Earthly Enigma”. Some of my favorite sketch book pages from 2025. I know 2026 will be filled with creation and hopefully many more completed sketchbooks.

If all goes according to plan I will graduate grad school this year with my masters in art therapy. While im still unsure what/if licensure is in my future, I know for a fact I will spend the rest of my life creating and using my energy encouraging others to do the same. I heard from Catie…the vid is totally out of focus. Probably for the best because its a #nude
I’ve been figure modeling since 2019 and have been at the Art Student League for a little over a year now and it’s brought me a lot of joy and peace in my body. I know the naked body is still taboo as it is most often linked to our sexual nature, but our body is much more. It’s disgusting we’ve been taught so much self hatred through every facet of our upbringing whether directly or indirectly. A body is a body is a body is a body. Blah blah blah I’ll get off the soapbox now.

One of the monitors from my class works with soft pastels and I really admired the work he produced. So I’ve been playing around with them since my mom sent me some for my birthday <3 thank you mom. Also Mama is very active in this one, see if you can spot her.
