October is Domestic Violence awareness month; and even though I’m not ready to share my whole story I finally feel strong enough to at least have some voice.

Family estrangement is nothing new to me. It’s been 6 years since I set the boundaries in place to protect myself to heal and move forward. And the healing is still taking place, every day. Growing up around DV is more common than those think; in households that ones may not even suspect. And experiencing it more than once throughout life because it was something “normal” to me while growing up is something I’ve had to realize and mend and repair.

So for those still healing, I see you, and you are not alone 🫶🏼
And for anyone struggling, my inbox is always open ❤️‍🩹
