Some people become part of your story in ways you never expect. šŸ¤

Cathy from @catmagickwitch has read my cards through every milestone, every transition, and so many moments when I needed a little clarity about what was ahead. She has witnessed so many chapters of my life through these cards, and I’m incredibly grateful for her, her guidance, and the space she has held for me through all of them.

For this transition, she signed two cards for me that I’ll keep forever: the Wheel of Fortune and The World.

The Wheel for where I am now, the turning, the uncertainty, the change, and trusting that life is moving me exactly where I’m supposed to go.

And The World for what’s waiting for me on the other side. Completion. Fulfillment. A new level. The life that comes after having the courage to keep moving through the transition.

It’s incredibly emotional holding those two cards together: one representing the journey I’m in, and the other reminding me why I’m willing to take it.

Cathy, I’m so incredibly grateful for you, your guidance, and the way you’ve held space for me through every chapter. These two cards, now carrying a little bit of your magic, will come with me into this next one, a reminder of where I’ve been, what I’m moving through, and what’s waiting for me on the other side. I’ll treasure them forever. šŸ”®āœØšŸ¤ taken in The Crystal Sunflower by @catmagickwitch

The no nonsense imagery of the Marseille reminds us that life has sharp edges. In a time without modern comforts like medicine, electricity, access to clean water etc, this harshness was the norm. taken in The Morgan Library & Museum by @catmagickwitch

Jean-Baptiste Breilla (1736-1791)
How to Annotate the Cards of the Tarot
Called ā€œTour Mummor de se norter avec lejou de cutes nowmdes tarotsā€
Jean-Baptiste Alliette, known as Etteilla (his surname reversed), counts as the first professional tarot reader—although there were no doubt a few unrecognized practitioners before him.
Following on the work of other occultist writers, Etteilla authored a series of essays in six volumes that explained his complex system of tarot-based divination, introducing the idea of various types of spreads for readings as well as assigning different meanings for reversed cards. He claimed to have further insights into the Book of Thoth, whose pages, he believed, were originally made from sheets of gold and placed around a temple of fire in Memphis, Egypt. His ā€œTemple of Memphisā€ diagram, at right, formed the basis for his revision of both the sequence and meaning of the trump cards.

The Page of Cups is my favorite card in the deck. This little character reminds me that I don’t have to conform to societal norm or capitalistic expectations. ā€œNobody Puts Baby In The Cornerā€ #weareallbaby by @catmagickwitch
