Wait for it… facial expressions of how this ended! 5/5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m literally speechless. I flew straight into Duskbound right after Riftborne, and it completely blew me away.
The world-building is incredible, and the pure chaotic energy and relentless pacing had me hooked the entire time. The ending absolutely had me in a chokehold. I did not see those twists coming at all, and my jaw is still on the floor.
If you love dark romantasy with insane stakes and a finale that leaves you reeling, you need to start this series immediately. Easily one of my top reads of the year! I need book 3 like TOMORROW! @parkerlennoxauthor @breegrenwichauthor #thatendingthough #bookstagram #romantasy #bookishcommunity #mustreads by @catsbatsanddragons

Just finished Anathema by @kerilake and that ending completely knocked my favorite toy right under the couch. I thought I knew where this dark romantasy was going, but Keri absolutely ripped the rug out from under me.
😱 My fur is standing completely on end.
No spoilers, but if you’ve read it, PLEASE hiss at me in my DMs immediately because my whiskers are twitching and I need to scream about it. If it’s on your TBR, pounce on it right now. #spookyseason👻 #catsgram #bookreviewer #indieauthors by @catsbatsanddragons

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
I read this as a ARC for the trad release

The world-building in Riftborne completely sucked me in from page one. It’s an immersive, gritty fantasy with a compelling war academy setting that felt incredibly well-developed.
What really made this book for me was the tension. The sheer yearning between the characters was executed perfectly, making the training sequences and one-on-one dynamics a total blast to read. It kept me hooked and flipping pages late into the night.
I enjoyed this so much that I immediately jumped right into Duskbound the second I finished. Definitely a series worth picking up.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC. by @catsbatsanddragons
