About the Job: This role is a mix of physical and creative work. You’ll help build and distress hand-hewn box beams, assist with installations throughout the Hudson Valley, and contribute to creating high-quality products that beautifully transform our customers homes. I have a small shop in the woods with a wood stove, stereo and Nespresso machine… it’s a nice place to work.What We’re Looking For:Honesty and reliability—Looking for someone who is 100% honest in all things and will demonstrate our high ethical standards. Our customers trust us to be in their homes and we take this extremely seriously.Basic wood shop experience—Must be experienced with tools and processes like cutting, sanding, gluing, and staining. This isn’t fine carpentry but you should be confident and competent with power tools, measuring, and paying attention to the details of our process.Physical ability—Must be able to lift lumber and handle short bursts of physical tasks like chopping beams.Non-smoker—no weed, vaping, cigarettes or drugs of any kind in the workplace.Career Growth Opportunity—We are quickly expanding and want someone who is excited to grow with us. We are also designing tools and processes to improve production... this will be a team effort.Working Together: This is a small shop so its important that we enjoy each others company. I'm willing to teach the skills needed for the right fit. I'm an easy going guy with a growth mindset, I love a creative challenge and work hard at improving my skill level everyday.
