The duly appointed enforcer of the Tyrest Accord has officially reported for duty! 🛡️✨

Taking the Craftsman Toys Skybreaker through its paces for this transformation video was an absolute blast. If you love IDW’s MTMTE and Lost Light runs, this figure hits every single right note capturing that formidable, imposing presence of Maximus Ambus and the “mother of all upgrades” armor aesthetic to absolute perfection.

What really surprised me during conversion is how surprisingly straightforward and cohesive the transformation is. No over-engineered nightmare here, just smart engineering that transitions cleanly into a stellar alt-mode while maintaining that incredible shelf presence. Speaking of the plastic and build, the solid, sturdy ABS feel paired with the satisfying crunch of the heavy-duty ratchets makes him feel remarkably secure in hand.

If you’re building out an IDW display, he scales and fits in alongside releases like Adams Machina and other comic-inspired centerpieces like an absolute dream. Truly a powerhouse piece for any modern shelf!

They say triple changers always involve compromise, but Studio Series ‘86 Astrotrain really tested everyone’s patience.

Hasbro gave us an undeniable masterclass in locomotive engineering with that steam-train mode, complete with working side rods and smoke effects, and then spent the rest of the budget everywhere else. Transforming those kibbly legs through a forest of over-engineered parts just to end up with a stubby shuttle and a robot mode that looks like it skipped upper-body day is an experience.

If you can overlook the weird chest-plate gimmick, and the giant train wheels hanging off his calves like poorly fitted shinguards, there’s still a fun, heavy-feeling figure hidden beneath all that unpainted gray plastic.

Is the DNA Design DK-80 upgrade kit an absolute game-changer for Haslab Omega Prime, or an exercise in tedious tinkering? 🛠️

After taking it through a full installation, it’s easy to see why the collector community is so split on this one. On the bright side, the shelf presence gets a massive glow-up: the Ultra Magnus proportion adjustments, clean gap fillers, and poseable hands really make the combined mode pop.

Reviewers have praised how it gives builders an alternative to manual fixes like sanding the T-bar, while adding some heavy-duty presence to the display.

At the same time, tearing down the torso, managing the extra parts-forming, and navigating some tight clearances definitely test your patience.

Finally got my hands on Mirage! 🏎️💨

If you were like me and could NEVER find the official version on store shelves, this Black Mamba KO version is an absolute lifesaver. Snagged mine straight from TFSafari. Tight joints, awesome paint, and transforms like a dream….for the most part. You’ll see why in the video 😅
