I tried learning the circle game by joni mitchell on guitar in preparation for my 20th birthday, then I blinked and turned 25, so I enlisted the help of anire eleanor and lili to hold myself accountable to actually finish learning it for this birthday, and here we are. i’ve now known anire longer than i haven’t (14 years!) and eleanor and lili for 11 years now. i somehow distinctly remember turning 15 with all these people, when they surprised me with a makeshift ice cream cake covered in tea candles and chocolate syrup on a trip upstate. we’re now all living back home in the city for the first time since everyone left for college 7 years ago (i held down the fort lol). and here we are, still singing and working out crunchy harmonies. the passage of time is difficult and lonely and thrilling and confusing and brilliant. there’ll be new dreams, maybe better dreams, and plenty! thank you joni for your wisdom on my 20th, and thank you for it now. it’s a privilege to age and to sing and grow alongside your friends. i still feel like a teenager sometimes, and i’ll look around at my friends, all in their new apartments or childhood homes, through new partners and friendships and careers and catch a brief glimpse of adult women i do not recognize, cooking dinner. it’s like we’re still children that occasionally wear clunky grown-up costumes.

anyways, enjoy our semi-rehearsed-ring-light-lit circle game on eleanor’s roof. 🤍 by @catwoods_

Very happy to share that I’ve joined the MET Opera’s production of Kaija Saariaho’s ‘Innocence’ as part of the acting/dance ensemble!! I’ve already learned so much and feel so so so lucky to be surrounded by such talented and knowledgeable artists. Every day in that building (even when I’m getting extremely lost lmao) I feel like I’m floating <333333 ahhhhhhhhh okay bye for now I’m gonna go sleep 😴just wanna preserve this feeling 🍯🍯🍯 ps opera is very alive and very well @tchalamet if you wanna snag a ticket before we sell out :p by @catwoods_

2025 art recap 20 days into 2026 cuz who am i if not a late poster 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
started the year vision boarding w baes @anirekimamoda & @eleanorhopeee and on my “outs” list was one-off gigs, so lots of long term dedicated work in 2025 and i am v proud i stuck to that (mostly). worked for 6 months on the atlantic showcase (miss yall ☹️) culminating at playwrights uptown, moment work in the summer, showcased original artwork and plays, a bit of producing, assisted on photo projects, painted and danced along the way…very excited for 2026 projects that r already cookin 🕺 (sorry i couldn’t tag everyone :( ) by @catwoods_
